Since making his debut, HOOK has mainly stuck to AEW Rampage. He’d veer off that path when he defeated QT Marshall on the Buy In for AEW Revolution – and now Team Taz intends to send HOOK to AEW Dynamite. Making his debut on the flagship program of AEW is where the real work begins – and could start the path to gold for the Cold Hearted Devil himself.
Danhausen Wants To Fight HOOK
With an opponent like Anthony Henry – tonight would not be an easy draw for HOOK. An ankle pick would take Henry down, before a rope break. HOOK would toss Henry around the ring, as Tony Nese & Smart Mark Sterling would watch from the crowd. A lariat to the neck would be followed by some clubbing crossface blows.
Danhausen would emerge and try to curse HOOK once again – before HOOK got the win with Redrum. HOOK would be challenged to a fight by Danhausen – who is apparently ready to get into the ring for AEW. Danhausen was signed while injured – but don’t be confused, he’s an incredible worker, not just a gimmick.
Sammy Guevara & Scorpio Sky Are Set For A Ladder Match
Last Saturday at Battle of the Belts – Sammy Guevara would become a three time TNT Champion. It took a low blow to beat Scorpio Sky, but now he’s on top again. Guevara loves the fans who are still behind him – and those who turned their back can be mad.
Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page would hit the ramp with fury, and said that the crowd would agree that no one came here to see Guevara talk. Dan Lambert would decide tonight is about business however, not violence. Guevara risked everything to win a fanbase, only to throw it all away the chance to be a douchebag.
Both Sky & Guevara want a rematch, but only if we get a mixed tag match too. Next week it’ll be a ladder match for the TNT Championship – and soon Paige VanZant makes her AEW in-ring debut.
Britt Baker Is BACK
After losing the AEW Women’s World Championship to Thunder Rosa – Britt Baker took a break. However, tonight in her hometown of Pittsburgh (or Brittsburgh if you listen to her), Baker intends to take the next step in her AEW career as she looks to qualify for the Owen Hart Memorial Cup. Spots are getting more and more sparse as the weeks go on, but Baker will likely make the most of her chance tonight.
After a heroes welcome in her hometown, Baker would start this match off with a lockup – and was shoved off. Baker would hit a butterfly suplex, before looking for some downward strikes in the corner. Danielle Kamella would show some life and trip Baker up, before whipping her to the mat by the hair.
Baker would look for Lockjaw, but was unable to get the hold applied. Kamella would hit a PK, before trying to choke Baker with a towel. Baker fired up and nailed some heavy forearm strikes – before the slingblade. Fishermans Neckbreaker would be followed by the Curb Stomp and Lockjaw for the finish.
