‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to end the week with some fun spoilery goodies to help keep things rolling over the weekend.
There’s going to be plenty of emotional turmoil in this episode as everyone’s going to be dealing with the loss of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
We’re curious how this will play out and how well fans will receive it as in many circles Rey was loved and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) not so much over the last few months, and using his firing as fodder to gain her sympathy could backfire.
But there’s always a chance things will work out better than we expect them to, so with that being said, let’s dive into the spoilers.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, April 22: Victor takes over
With Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on the scene, he’s going to take over and his first order of business is to tell Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) to stay away from Victoria until they contact him.
In short, he’s getting the super cold shoulder. He deserves it, but we have a feeling there’s going to be some curve balls coming Victor’s way to upset his plans, and one of those will be Victoria.
While Victor will be intent on proving Ashland had something to do with the accident, Victoria won’t be able to forget that he injured himself saving her when he could’ve let history repeat and leave her to die.
It’ll muddy the waters for sure, and it’s going to be one of numerous problems Victoria’s going to have to deal with.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, April 22: Dealing with change
As we mentioned, Victoria’s going to start dealing with Rey’s death, and ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think she’s going to blame herself no matter what evidence is shown to her.
Even if she doesn’t, there’s going to be part of her that will think if she hadn’t been driving the accident wouldn’t have happened and so on.
It’s only natural that those ideas would continue to surface, and we think the writers will give her definitive proof by saying Rey has some kind of stroke or seizure that made him swerve.
Given how he exited the show, this feels like something that would be thrown out there to make his ending have a semblance of honor and respect instead of him driving like a maniac or not paying attention.
Just wait for when Victoria and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) meet face to face. Nothing like good drama coming out of a soap tragedy.
Will Victoria recover from this, or will this be a shadow that brings her down hard? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.

Rey didn’t have to die but Ashland should’ve I hope he gets blamed for what happened and I pray Victor takes care of Ashland real soon
Remember Rey did have some dizzy spells last year and wasn’t feeling well so it could be written in that he suffered a seizure and it would all make sense
It may take months but I think they will find that Ashland killed Rey. I mean not just causing the accident but finding him alive and murdering him..then making feel guilty and prenting to take care of her…I think he has the money but also wants the company…
Ashland did something to Victoria’s car. He followed her just to make sure she was dead or make sure Rey was dead so Rey couldn’t tell. You writers need to make Vikki smarter and not treat her like she’s 16.
I hope they don’t drag this out.
