‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to start the new week off with some fun spoilery goodies.
We’re picking up where things left off as Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will have a painful decision to make we think concerns whether to send Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to Miami or keep him in Genoa City.
We don’t envy her in the least as either choice will leave her devastated.
On the flip side, we’ll be heading back into Abbott country as Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will share the news of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters)’s return with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

We’re sure she’ll appreciate her miraculous return as much as everyone else in Genoa City, so this should be an entertaining scene.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, April 25: Nikki’s shocked
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers aren’t sure how Jack and Nikki come to meet each other, but once Jack lets the Diane sized rabbit out of the bag we think Nikki will be grateful for the heads up.
After she shakes off the shock that Diane’s alive and has a few thoughts of mayhem flow through her mind.
This will be a master class on acting as the two of them go back and forth, trading horror stories as well as updating each other on their families’ current drama.
In the end, we have a feeling Nikki will want to handle Diane on her own. She’ll let everyone know she’s back, but there’s going to be more to this, we think.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, April 25: Sharon makes her decision
Sharon’s going to have to make a tough choice on whether to keep Rey in Genoa City to be buried, or to send him to Miami like his family wants.
She’s in a no win situation as he was her husband and she has every right to keep him with her, but if she does that it could cause a rift with his family that’ll lead to future problems.
But if she sends him to Miami, he’s truly gone.
We’ve had a feeling the writers are trying to remove him as quickly and quietly as possible since he left the show, and sending him to his family would allow them to move onto Sharon’s next relationship faster.
For that reason, and because it feels like better storytelling, we hope the writers have her keep Rey with her so she and others can visit him without going across the country. His family may not like it, but she does have rights as his wife.
This will be an interesting problem for them to deal with and could lead to some good moments down the road.
