Kim Kardashian is defending her parenting style and addressing her ex Kanye West’s criticism of their daughter North’s TikTok videos. On Friday, the Donda rapper referenced his ongoing divorce from Kim Kardashian, 41, on Instagram, claiming their eighth years’ old daughter North has been put on the social media app against his will.
Kim Puts Kanye On Blast
Kanye posted a screengrab of one of North’s videos and being in a savage mood, tagged Kim in the post saying, “Since this is my first divorce, I need to know what I should do about my daughter being put on TikTok against my will.” Hours later, Kim clapped back in her Instagram stories, stating the whole situation.
Kim Kardashian Defends Herself Following Kanye West’s Recent Criticism
Writing in part she said, “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is more hurtful than any TikTok North might create.” The mom of four goes on to say that she is the main provider and caregiver to her children and that she is doing the best she can to protect North while also giving her the space and freedom to express herself and her creativity in the medium that she wishes.
She adds that North’s usage of TikTok has adult supervision and North posts videos because it makes her happy. As of Friday, North’s account had 5.5 million followers.
In her story, Kim explains that “Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.” According to Kim, she wanted a healthy and supportive co-parenting situation since she filed for divorce in February of 2021 but she alleges that Kanye has made it quite impossible every step of the way.
Kim concluded the post by saying she hopes future matters regarding their children will be addressed privately and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably. Shortly after Kim’s post, Kanye clapped back at Kim’s statement in another Instagram post, saying, “What do you mean by the main provider?
America saw you try to kidnap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address. You put security on me inside of the house to play with my son, then accused me of stealing. I had to take a drug test after Chicago’s party cause you accused me of being on drugs.
