Right now, AEW is setting up the field for the Owen Hart Memorial Cup. We’ve already seen a few debuts in the process, with both Samoa Joe & Toni Storm showing up in debut matches – making their way into the male and female tournaments respectively. More debuts are expected as qualifying matches continue – and Mark Henry might have potentially spoiled one of these on Busted Open Radio.
Mark Henry Feels A Cesaro Sighting Is Coming
In 2022, Mark Henry is a man who wears a lot of hats now that he’s retired from in-ring action. Within AEW, Henry serves as a broadcaster, coach, and talent scout – and remains a host of Busted Open radio. During a recent episode, he’d speak on the chance of Cesaro showing up again soon – saying the following.
“Believe me, there will be a Cesaro sighting, just not right now. When that day comes, the world of pro wrestling is gonna be like, ‘Holy cow, like, that’s the guy we always wanted to see.’”
A Potential Member of Blackpool Combat Club?
Cesaro recently left WWE after eleven years on their roster. During his time with the company, Cesaro became a one time WWE United States Champion and an seven time WWE Tag Team Champion. He has applied for a trademark of CSRO – a potential ring name going forward.
There is a strong chance he is able to join the Blackpool Combat Club faction, being a man respected by Bryan Danielson, and the man who William Regal had his retirement match against back in 2013. Regardless of his role when he returns to professional wrestling – fans are in for a treat.
While Cesaro was one of the best wrestlers of the past decade in WWE, there was always a feeling that he was held back – only getting a single PPV match for a world title during his run despite massive fan support for years.
