That is according to Royal expert Richard Eden. This claim arrives on the back end of Harry’s comments following his recent visit to see the monarch.
While the visit was kept under wraps, Harry was very vocal about his thoughts about the monarch in the aftermath. In his comments after seeing her, Harry said: “Being with her, it was great.
“I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected.” Harry’s comments were criticised for the following reasons.
First of all, they were seen as an attempt to rehabilitate his image after the backlash he had received for the manner in which he had treated the monarch.
After all, Harry had missed crucial events including her birthday last year as well as Prince Philip’s memorial. Secondly, Harry has also been called out for his behaviour since exiting the Royal family.
If he really did have the Queen at the top of his list, then he would not have gone ahead with the Oprah interview which threw a lot of negativity on the Royal family.
In an interview, Richard stated: “They’re all sort of taking advantage of the Queen in her later years I think, for their own reasons.” Much in the same way, Harry has not helped himself with other members of his family.
During his interview on ‘The Today Show’, Harry was asked whether or not he misses his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William.
But rather than addressing the question outright, Harry refused to answer it by diverting the attention to his own family and children, as well as the Invictus Games. And that has left a sour note with many people.
Rebecca English, who happens to be a Royal editor, had this to say: “He didn’t address his relationship with his father or brother and I think that’s where the sadness and the pressure point lies.”
