Prince Harry has reassured all his critics that he is doing everything in his power to ensure that Queen Elizabeth II is in a good place.
Harry Fires Back At His Critics By Promising To Protect The Queen-‘Good Grief The Irony!’
Harry, for his part, has been called into question after having missed several key Royal functions such as Prince Philip’s memorial, as well as the monarch’s birthday last year.
While that may have been the case, Harry did make a visit with Meghan Markle to see the Queen and Prince Charles which was the first time the couple had done so since their exit from the Royal family in 2020.
With that now being done, Harry intends to be there for her. In an interview with the ‘Today Show,’ Harry said: “I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her.”
If these comments are taken to be true, then they are significant for the following reasons. First of all, it would suggest that Harry and Meghan have managed to work out any differences that they had with the Royal family.
After all, it was under the Queen’s watch that Meghan Markle did complain over her poor treatment, as shown in the Oprah Winfrey interview. Secondly, it also calls into question the role of Prince William.
Do Harry’s words encroach on his duties towards the Queen, or will the brothers come together to unite behind making sure that their grandmother is fine?
The response on social media, however, was damming. A significant proportion of people questioned the timing of Harry’s comments, given that they coincided with the year that his memoir will come out.
Thus, in the process of doing so, people were of the view that Harry was the person bringing scrutiny to the monarchy. One person wrote: “THE ONLY PEOPLE HARMING HER ARE HARRY AND HIS NASTY LIAR OF A WIFE!
