While Deonna Purrazzo is unable to make it to Supercard of Honor, there will still be a match for the ROH Women’s World Champion. Willow Nightingale will face the veteran Mercedes Martinez to name an Interim ROH World Women’s Champion tonight. Whoever wins will face Purrazzo at a future date, and find out who the Undisputed ROH World Women’s Champion is.

Mercedes Martinez & Willow Go To War

Code of Honor was adhered too – with Martniez taking Willow down to the mat with a headlock. Willow countered out, but took a slap to the face. Martinez would take Willow into the corner with a chop, before being slammed into the mat and nailed with a senton.

Martinez would try to hit a triple butterfly suplex, but had to move into a submission as Willow would hold her ground. Willow would be mounted and pounded, before avoiding the Fisherman Buster. A superkick would cause a double down.

Willow would take a forearm, but was able to bounce back off the ropes with a big lariat. Martinez would nail a set of lariats herself before a backdrop driver. Willow would roll back to her feet, before being dropped with the Air Raid Crash.

Martinez would get a near fall, before being sent across the ring with a major pounce. Corner to corner Cannonball would land, but Babe Bomb would be blocked. Martinez would nail the OG Drop, and this one was so close to being over. Willow was set up for the Spider Suplex, but was able to fight her way free.

Moonsault from the top rope would land flush, but Willow didn’t press the shoulders down during the pin. Willow was taken into the Brass City Sleeper – and this one was over – Martinez is Interim ROH World Women’s Champion!

The Briscoes Bring Tag Team Dream Match Against FTR

The Briscoes are one of the most iconic tag teams in Ring of Honor history, and after being inducted into the Hall of Fame, they’re here to defend the ROH World Tag Team Championships. FTR meanwhile have no history with Ring of Honor, but after confronting The Briscoes four months ago and going back and forth on social media? They’re ready to add to their legacy as one of the greatest tag teams in history.

Cash Wheeler would start alongside Mark, and the crowd was on fire for just a basic wrist lock. They’d go back and forth with the bare basics, and everyone ate it up. Jay would get the tag, and Dax would join him. These two were throwing the verbal shots, and they’d lock up hard in the ring. Jay took Dax down to the mat – before Dax would spit in his face.

Dax would get dropped with a shoulder tackle, before coming back with a hard forearm smash. Jay would send him out of the ring, and wouldn’t allow him back in. Dax threw a chair, and referee Paul Turner caught it with ease.

Wheeler would get a tag, before taking a big back elbow. Mark would get the tag, and they’d start to cut the ring in half. Hard strikes and fast tags would follow, but Wheeler would find the opening and make the tag. Dax would nail a snap suplex, before trading chops with Mark. They’d show a look of respect, before Mark levelled Dax.

Tag Team Wrestling Is Alive And Well

Jay got the tag and would stomp the now legal Wheeler into the corner. Wheeler took a hard boot to the jaw, before being sent to the floor. Jay would soar over Mark with a senton, before Mark hit the Cactus elbow! Mark tossed Dax into a big boot, before FTR would slingshot Jay face first into a table.

Jay was bleeding, and Dax would hit downward punches right to the open wound. Dax put him on the ropes, and Wheeler followed up with a fast strike. Jay was set up on the top rope, and would be driven down into the middle of the ring with a huge superplex. Wheeler would land a big backdrop, before yelling that FTR are tag team wrestling.

Jay Briscoe would be able to make his way across the ring and made the tag to Mark. He’d hit the ring with fire, nailing some fast suplexes on Dax before a lariat in the corner. Some redneck kung fu was followed by the Iconoclasm, but Dax kicked out.

Spike piledriver would be unable to land, before Briscoes nailed Redneck Boogie for a near fall. Wheeler would fight off a double superplex, before making the tag to Dax. A slingshot powerbomb was followed by a big splash from Wheeler, but Jay kicked out!!

FTR Claim The Win – And

Big Rig was countered by an inside cradle, before The Briscoes used Big Rig on Dax for a near fall! Jay would nail a Death Valley Driver on the outside, before suplexing Dax from the ring to the floor.

Wheeler would help Dax up into the ring, and all four men took their spots. It was time for a fight, and they’d all exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Wheeler was sent to the outside, before Mark hit a corkscrew dive to the floor.

Dax & Jay would exchange blows in the middle of the ring, both men struggling to their feet. Jay was able to nail the neckbreaker, and Mark nailed Froggy-Bow – and Dax still was able to kick out! Doomsday Device was dodged, and FTR nailed Big Rig for the win!

After the bell, respect was earned – and FTR offered the handshake. The Briscoes are ROH legends, and this might well be their final showing in the company under the ownership of Khan. They’d get a loud ‘Thank you Briscoes chant’, before The Young Bucks would rush The Briscoes. Jay Briscoe took the BTE Trigger, but FTR made the save.

FTR called Young Bucks out for a match right now – but The Young Bucks said everyone had to wait for Wednesday.
