It’s getting hard to deny that Jade Cargiill has the potential to become one of the biggest stars in AEW. Since making her debut alongside NBA legend Shaq, Cargill has been unstoppable – and has become the TBS Champion, and Tony Khan has made sure she reaches her potential. He’s surrounded her with the best coaching possible, as now revealed by Tony Khan.
Tony Khan Feels Jade Cargill Is Someone Who Brings In Casual Viewers
While speaking with Barstool Sports, Tony Khan would have a chance to hype up Jade Cargill. He had the following to say about Jade, and how much crossover appeal she has.
“Jade is a star and I absolutely think she’s far ahead of where anybody expected. I think it’s all down to her. We’ve tried to put good support and coaching around her and a lot of great people work with her on a regular basis.
We have great coaching here. You know, when you have people on the full-time staff, Sonjay, Serena, QT, Dustin Rhodes, a lot of really good coaching, but also, Bryan Danielson has put in a lot of time and coaching as well. He’s one of the best minds in professional wrestling and he sees the potential in Jade, too, and I asked him to work with her, and he was eager and excited to do it.
So I think the sky’s the limit for Jade. Her presentation is tremendous. Her instincts are awesome and she’s got all the physical tools. Jade doesn’t just pop a hardcore wrestling fan, Jade pops a casual audience, too.”
Set To Defend TBS Championship Against Marina Shafir
Right now, Jade Cargill is on her way to her 30th singles match in AEW, and is set to face Marina Shafir with the TBS Championship on the line. This match has been getting hyped up for the past few weeks, and is expected to happen sometime in the next week. Cargill remains undefeated in AEW, but so does Shafir.
Shafir is formerly of WWE NXT, where she was often seen alongside Shayna Baszler. She’s the wife of Roderick Strong, and has only wrestled on AEW Dark so far – and will be making her mainstream debut against Cargill.
