Last week during the NXT Tag Team Championship gauntlet match, Sanga would be the one to fall during the match – sending him & Grayson Waller out of the match. After this, Waller was furious – and claimed that he was ready to shed 300lbs of dead weight. Now, he will face his former enforcer in singles action tonight – and prove that he can fly alone.
Grayson Waller Manages To Defeat Sanga After Being Tossed All Around The Ring
Just before this match, Sanga put the fear of death into Waller and chased him into the ring. Sanga would take a back elbow before tossing Waller around the ring with ease. He was flying alone for sure, as the powerhouse Sanga tossed him post to post four times – and the crowd wanted more.
A big sidewalk slam would follow, before Sanga applied a camel clutch – only letting go for a big elbow drop. The bottom rope would save Waller, before he sent Sanga outside and almost slid his way into a chokeslam. Sanga would be shoved into the ring post and slid into the ring and Waller slipped in for the stunner – getting the win after taking a massive asskicking.
Cora Jade Has A New Dream – Pretty Deadly Get First Challengers – Roxanne Perez To Make Debut Tonight?!
Last week, Cora Jade learned why you never meet your heroes. Natalya hit the ring and called her the future of the division – and called the future bleak. She’d be slapped and locked in the sharpshooter. However, Cora Jade is no longer seeing Natalya as a dream match. Her new dream is to kick Natalya’s legendary ass. She’d tear a photo of the two in half – before stomping away.
Meanwhile, Pretty Deadly bumped into Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta. They’d be tricked into accepting a match, hoping to grapple with Hartwell & Pirotta- before being faced with potentially their first challengers as champions. Duke Hudson & Dexter Lumis are a daunting duo – and could be champions if they can get along in the ring.
We’d also catch up with Roxanne Perez – the former ROH World Women’s Champion known previously as Rok-C. She was set to debut next week, but Toxic Attraction want her to step into the ring tonight and prove she’s not just big talk.
Fast Paced Tag Team Action
The Grizzled Young Veterans have been furious lately with a lack of success in the tag team division. This made Pretty Deadly coming to NXT 2.0 and claiming gold on their first night a potential tipping point for Drake & Gibson. They tried to jump the line earlier tonight – only to be stopped by Legado Del Fantasma.
LDF would dive over the top ropes to start this match. Wilde & Cruz would cut Drake down in the ring for a two count, before GYV would look for control. Both members would be taken down by Wilde, before Gibson took a facebuster for a two count.
Drake would get control and try to slow the pace of this match down, before Gibson was taken down into a Sunset Flip. Wilde would look for a tag and get Cruz into the ring – and he’d send Drake into the corner and try for the superplex. He’d miss a tag to Gibson, before hitting a superrana and getting kicked in the head.
LDF would be able to send Gibson from the ring – and in the ring hit the High Low on Drake for the victory. The crowd was loving LDF here – perhaps signalling a face turn in their future.
