At NXT Stand & Deliver, Dolph Ziggler once again threw a wrench into the plans of everyone, as he defeated Bron Breakker. However, a rematch on Monday Night RAW would see Breakker prevail in thrilling fashion. This puts them at one win a piece, and tonight we could find out if Ziggler wants to make this a trilogy.
GUNTHER Wants The NXT Championship
While at Stand & Deliver he failed to defeat Dolph Ziggler, it was seeing Wrestlemania 38 in person that inspired him to get another shot. Breakker also now has plans to one day main event Wrestlemania – but first he needed to take his NXT Championship back. However, now as NXT Champion – he’s got a target on his back. Ziggler wouldn’t come out, but rather GUNTHER with Imperium backing him up.
At Stand & Deliver, GUNTHER would defeat LA Knight – and now he’s taking aim at Bron Breakker. He wants the NXT Championship, to bring honor back to the belt. Breakker would offer GUNTHER a title shot later tonight. Before we’d cut to a commercial break, The Creed Brothers would slip into frame – seemingly aimed at Bartel & Aichner.
Imperium Go To War With The Creed Brothers
Returning to the show, a tag team match was in progress – with Brutus nailing a knee strike to ribs of Bartel. Bartel would get the tag to Aichner, who dropped a rushing Brutus with an arm drag. Aichner was unable to keep Brutus grounded, and Julius got the tag before dumping his brother right onto Bartel after an Imperium tag.
Julius would be spiked into the mat by Aichner on a Fireman’s Carry Slam, after being plucked from the sky with ease. Aichner doesn’t get enough attention for truly being one of the greatest pound for pound wrestlers in the world today. A tilt-a-whirl backbreaker would land, before Aicher tagged out.
Both teams would go back and forth in control, before Brutus would be scooped up and slammed into the ropes – damaging both the knees and the back. Imperium would work over the knee of Brutus, making quick tags and cutting the ring in half. The crowd would get behind The Creed Brothers, and Brutus would be able to hit a slam on Aichner.
Julius would make the tag, and was able to run down both opponents. He’d pick Bartel off the mat and slam him down with ease, but Aichner broke up the pinfall. Aichner would hit a massive lariat, before Julius wos sent to the outside. Randomly, Aichner would leave the ringside area and leave Bartel high and dry – with The Creed Brothers taking out Bartel with ease.
After the match, the masked attackers of The Creed Brothers would be revealed as former NXT UK Tag Team Champions – Pretty Deadly! Under new ringnames, they’re the same deadly unit, and have set themselves up for major success.
