Nikkita Lyons was able to come out on top the last time she met Lash Legend in the ring, but it’s time for the rematch. With Natalya watching closely following Lyons calling her out last week on NXT 2.0 – pressure will be high tonight. Legend recently took a trip to the UK, and could look to show her fresh skills tonight.
Nikitta Lyons Defeats Lash Legend, Natalya & Cora Jade Clash After The Bell
Legend would hit the ring with some fury, before Lyons would be able to drop her with a big spin kick. A receipt came with a back elbow smash, before Lyons hit the Thesz Press and some mounted punches on the mat. Legend would dump Lyons out of the ring, and followed up by driving her into the steel steps.
Back in the ring, Legend kept the pressure on with some heavy strikes before getting cocky. Lyons would take advantage with a quick pinfall attempt, before Legend hit a big swinging sidewalk slam. Legend would apply a neck crank, but Lyons fought free.
A series of suplexes would follow, before Lyons threw some haymakers in the corner before being taken up for a powerbomb. Lyons countered into a hurricanrana before a spin kick for the win. After the match, Natalya attacked from behind – but Cora Jade would even up the odds by attacking Legend.
Natalya and Jade came face to face, but Lyons saved her from once again being locked in the Sharpshooter. A tag team match could be in the works here – and Legend seemed like a natural fit to work alongside a legend like Natalya.
Roderick Strong Brings The Viking Raiders Back To NXT
Roderick Strong would have some strong words for his faction of Diamond Mine. He doesn’t want this group to crumble like his last one, and some changes need to be made. Strong would question the power of The Creed Brothers – and has brought a team of former NXT Tag Team Champions back to the brand to test them.
It’s Erik & Ivar – The Viking Raiders! These two teams will clash next week – and Viking Raiders will be in action later tonight. This team has never been defeated during their time in NXT – with them leaving the NXT Tag Team Championships vacant to move to the main roster in 2019.
Tony D’Angelo Is Taken To Limits By Von Wagner
Following his victory over Tommaso Ciampa earlier this month, Tony D’Angelo is a made man in the world of NXT. Tonight Von Wagner has stepped up to take D’Angelo down and prove he’s the legit star of this crop of talent. These are two of the fastest rising stars on the brand, and tonight they clash in the middle of the ring.
D’Angelo would talk a big gamer to start this match, but would be unable to get Wagner up for a suplex. He’d be beaten down in the corner with some shoulder thrusts before Wagner would be able to avoid another suplex attempt. D’Angelo would find another opening before being overpowered and choked on the ropes.
Wagner would be sent to the floor with a lariat, before D’Angelo was slammed back first onto the apron. Back into the ring, Wagner would apply a rear chinlock, and D’Angelo would fight his way free only to be taken swiftly down with a big powerslam. D’Angelo would finally be able to hit a set of suplexes, but Wagner was able to launch a powerful lariat before taking a punch to the jaw.
Legado Del Fantasma ran a distraction as Santos Escobar would take D’Angelo down with a crowbar to the knee. Robert Stone warned him to not get back into the ring, but he did and Wagner simply ran him down with a big boot for the victory,
