Fans and Ben were convinced Mahogany was not real based on her social media images, which were carefully manipulated. Nonetheless, she was genuine, although her appearance being so different from the woman Ben had been conversing with.

During the Tell-All, unofficial clips of Ben’s second trip to Peru showed that Mahogany had finally accepted his relationship with him.
Mahogany said that she kept several secrets from Ben because he was an anonymous man she only met online and was also elderly. She appears to have been having a great time with the filters on social media. In spite of all the negative feedback, she has not changed her editing habits on Instagram.

In a clip where she disclosed her significant weight loss, Mahogany appeared to be someone else. People could clearly see how many pounds she had shed as she shifted her camera to her waist. Mahogany appeared to be in a jovial mood as she seductively stroked her hands around her body and hair.
People who follow Mahogany on Instagram could not help but react to how many pounds she has shed and how she accomplished it. Mahogany was asked by a TLC viewer, “Did you lose a lot of weight recently?” Another follower inquired as to whether or not she had shed pounds “because of the show.”
It seems fans were curious about whether or not she had shed some pounds as a result of the stress of being bombarded with a barrage of nasty remarks about her looks. For now, Mahogany has not reacted to all the comments made by her fans on the Instagram post.
