Ever since Malakai Black stepped into AEW, he had grand plans. He’d recruit Brody King & Buddy Matthews to join him, while trying to get PAC on his side as well. However, instead of having PAC join him? He brought out the fight in him. Now, Death Triangle is united, and tonight will look to get revenge for months of abuse and attacks. This issue has been brewing since 2021, and it ends tonight. These are six of the most incredible wrestlers on the AEW roster, and tonight they will be let loose.
Instant Trios Chaos From Death Triangle & Britt Baker
Rey Fenix would get things started alongside Malakai Black, with Black trying to go after the previously injured arm of Fenix. Fenix would be able to block the strikes of Black, before hitting a hurricanrana – and both men avoided Skull Kicks from the other.
Buddy Matthews hit the ring, and stomped the arm. Penta Oscuro would hit the ring, and both men would show their speed, ending in a stalemate. PAC would get a blind tag, and met the giant that was Brody King. Trying to match his size, PAC went to the top rope – but was struck down to the floor.
Death Triangle tried to unite against King, before a six man brawl hit the ring. PAC ate a knee strike to the jaw, before Fenix hit an arm drag into a double foot stomp on Black. Penta hit a slingblade, and Matthews a meteora, before PAC hit the poison rana. Black would start to isolate PAC, before King dropped him with a quick shoulder tackle.
Fenix got the tag, and was able to somehow set it up for Matthews to powerbomb Black. Lucha Bros would hit a double dive to the outside, Matthews would catch a dive from Fenix into a suplex, before being taken out by PAC.
Julia Hart Brings Victory To House Of Black
Black hit the moonsault, and Penta sprung onto Black. King was left standing, and he’d figure – why not hit a dive as well. Fenix was nailed with Dantes Inferno, but both PAC & Penta made the save. Lucha Bros would hit some double superkicks, but it took all of Death Triangle to drop King.
PAC hit a sheerdrop brainbuster, but Matthews made the save. Matthews would take a Mexican Destroyer on the apron, before King took a double stomp into a DDT. Black would be kicked out in the ring, before blocking Fear Factor. Two Skull Kicks left just Black & PAC.
PAC nailed the kick and a 450 Splash, going over the head of Matthews. Matthews was thrown out of the ring, and Black took a snap german suplex. PAC hit a low blow while the referee was distracted, before the Black Arrow would be set. Lights went out, and Julia Hart had joined House of Black. Skull Kick lands, and House Of Black wins!
Adam Cole Gets Help To Win Tournament
Both Adam Cole & Samoa Joe are undisputed with their spot as two of the best wrestlers in all of AEW. They would prove this as they qualified and dominated their sides in the Owen Hart Memorial Cup. Samoa Joe defeated Max Caster to qualify for the tournament, before taking down Johnny Dynamite in the first round, and Kyle O’Reilly to make the finals.
Adam Cole qualified by defeating NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii, and took down Dax Harwood & Jeff Hardy to make the finals. Now tonight, these two proven names will meet with the honor of being the first name etched onto the Owen Hart Foundation Cup laying in the wake.
Both these men would start off cautiously, before Joe would hit some quick jabs to put Cole into a corner. C.C.S. Enzuigiri would land, before Joe had a second to mock Cole. A massive back elbow kept Cole down, and sent him to the floor.
Joe would follow Cole out, where he was shoved into the ring post. Cole would go after the previously hurt arm of Joe, using it to cut Joe down to size. Panama Sunrise was blocked into a double kneebreaker, allowing Joe some time to recover.
Manhattan Drop into the big boot would set up a running senton, getting a two count. Cole would nail a high knee, allowing for a near fall. The crossface would be applied, but Joe was able to get his foot under the bottom rope.
Powerbomb into the STF would follow, but Cole was able get the ropes. Bobby Fish rushed the ring, and allowed for Cole to set up The Boom. Joe would dodge and apply the Coquina Clutch. Fish again was an issue, with Cole breaking free. Superkicks would land on Joe, but he’d just fire up… before taking The Boom for the finish. Adam Cole wins the Owen Hart Foundation Mens Tournament!
