Death Triangle are once again a united force in AEW, with Rey Fenix having recently made his return. Before going after House of Black, they are taking aim at the Andrade Family office, and tonight have a tough trio ahead of them. Butcher & The Blade will team up with Marq Quen, forming an incredibly well rounded unit for tonight’s match.
Death Triangle Crushes The AFO – House Of Black Sends A Message
Penta would kick things off alongside Blade, and take a haymaker to the face before nailing a superkick. PAC got the tag, and would drop Blade with a snapmare before Penta soared in with a dropkick to the tailbone. Butcher would get the tag – as Chris Jericho on commentary would name both The Butcher & The Blade as Sports Entertainer of the Week.
PAC would be able to take Butcher down with a dropkick, before Quen hit the ring. Fenix would make his way into the ring, but would take a kick to the face as he looked for a pop up powerbomb. Quen was taken down with a diving arm drag, before a dropkick. Fenix tried to get fancy on the ropes, but was caught by Butcher – and took a dropkick by Quen.
Butcher & The Blade would start to isolate Fenix, with quick tags being crucial in cutting the ring in half. Quen hit a 450 Splash for a near fall, before Butcher nailed a massive lariat. Fenix was able to hit a hurricanrana to Blade – before the back heel kick opened a tag.
Penta would nail a DDT on Butcher, before tagging in PAC. German Suplex to Quen would see his feet land on the ropes, before a release German Suplex followed. Lucha Bros would nail Fear Factor, before PAC hit Black Arrow for the win.
Following the match, House of Black emerged in the ring for a moment – sending the message that they have not forgotten about Death Triangle.
Shawn Spears Is The Giant Killer
Wardlow will get his chance to get out of his contract with MJF at Double or Nothing… but has two conditions to get through first. Next week on AEW Dynamite, he will have to survive ten lashes of a belt to his back. After that, he will need to defeat Shawn Spears in a steel cage. Tonight, Spears practices his giant slaying skills – as he takes on Bear Boulder.
This was actually the singles debut of Boulder in an AEW ring, and would be greeted with a ten taunt. He’d grab the throat of Spears but couldn’t complete the press slam. Spears slipped free and hit the ropes, before taking a powerslam. Boulder would get cornered and hit with some downward punches, before being taken up and slammed with the C4 Driver for the win. Spears had 340lbs on his shoulders – and he can do that to Wardlow as well.
After the bell, he’d slam Boulder down with a steel chair three times – before saying that Wardlow is going to have to face The Giant Killer. Can Spears defeat Wardlow? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
