While Resorts World Las Vegas put on quite the welcome for Britney Spears, the singer says she has no plans to do another residency, according to TMZ. It’s easy to see how the buzz could ramp up quickly. Spears was in Las Vegas with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, and Cade Hudson–her good friend and agent.
So, she’s famous and well-known—in the news every week—and she just pops up in Vegas with an agent who everyone knows is an agent. Yeah, speculation of a residency is reasonable but not at this point with so much that has happened in her life before half of the year is done.
Britney Spears Isn’t Rushing to a Concert Residency Any Time Soon Following Las Vegas Trip with Fiancé and Agent
Sources who are in the know about Britney Spears say that she enjoyed her time there with Sam and Cade, she’s just in no rush to do a residency at all. She just announced that she was working on new music a month ago, she’s still dealing with recent events in her life, and there’s the book about her family and the conservatorship she’s working on as well.
It’s a full plate for the “I’m a Slave 4 U” performer. In an entertainment career that has spanned 30 years, Spears has only done one residency: Britney: Piece of Me. It was held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s The AXIS—now the Zappos Theater—and ran from December 2013 until December 2017. It would rake in over $138 million in tickets and merch.
