Lately in AEW, Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley have become a top tag team. Alongside William Regal & Wheeler Yuta, Blackpool Combat Club has become an incredibly popular faction in AEW, often getting massive reactions from all crowds. During tonight’s episode of AEW episode, we would see Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz put against the Jericho Appreciation Society – with a 10 man tag planned for Double Or Nothing 2022. However, on AEW Rampage – things would take a potentially dire turn for this match.
Bryan Danielson Gets Leg Stuck Between Stage & Ring During AEW Rampage Brawl
During a brawl that happened during AEW Rampage, fans would see Bryan Danielson get his leg trapped between the ring and the stage. Tonight’s AEW setup saw an elevated ramp go directly into the ring, which normally would be safe – but a small gap can make things potentially deadly.
They would have to disassemble the stage to get Danielson free, a process which took a long amount of time, according to fans in attendance nearly 10 minutes. Danielson would not take medical assistance, and would walk off with a limp. There’s a lot of hope that no injury here, but there’s always a chance with something like this.
Danielson is just about the last name you want injured on the roster, with likely only reigning champions above him, and CM Punk equal. He’s been a massive draw for AEW since making his debut, and even in Blackpool Combat Club – he’s been incredibly popular. We can hopefully see an injury report within the next few days, but with AEW having to take apart the stage to get Danielson free, there is very little to no chance that this is an angle.
With Double or Nothing happening in just two weeks, the match for Double or Nothing will likely need to be changed. Having Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley take out someone like Angelo Parker would allow AEW to move this into an Eight Man Tag Team match. There is also a chance William Regal gets into the match, and has minimal spots to keep the legend safe.
