Apparently, Comedian, Chris Rock is yet to fully recover from the infamous Oscars slap. During a show held at UK’s Royal Albert Hall, Chris talked about his recovery after actor, Will Smith slapped him for making a joke about his wife, Jada Smith.

The Times Of London reported that during the show, Chris Rock said, “I’m OK, if anybody was wondering. I got most of my hearing back.” The comedian who has refused to discuss details has used the infamous slapping incident with Will Smith as material for his comedy tour “Ego Death World Tour.”

He shared that he might be open to discussing the assault on Netflix. He joked that, “People expect me to talk about the bulls—, I’m not going to talk about it right now, I’ll get to it eventually – on Netflix. Anyone who says ‘words hurt.’ Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in the face at the 94th Academy Awards after the comedian made a joke about his partner, Jada Pinkett Smith’s baldness as he presented the Academy Award for best documentary feature.
Will Smith Banned From Oscars For Ten Years
Will Smith won as Oscar award and he was allowed to accept the award on stage less than an hour after he slapped the comedian. The following day, the Bad Boys actor took to Instagram to apologize to Chris Rock and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He later resigned from the Academy.
The consequences of his actions didn’t end there. The Academy banned Will from attending the Oscars and other events for the next 10 years. The actor has started doing things to help him move on from the incident. He recently traveled to India for meditation and yoga.
His trip as reports say that he did personally apologize to the comedian he assaulted. Chris Rock had said he wouldn’t talk about the incident until he gets paid. He said this during a set at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. “I’m OK. I have a whole show, and I’m not talking about that until I get paid,” the comedian declared.
