Christine Quinn had to take cover after her book signing was gate-crashed by protestors confronting her over wearing fur.

The ‘Selling Sunset’ star had been on hand to promote her book “How To Be a Boss Bi**h.” And during the course of that process, the demonstrators arrived at the Bookends Bookstore, Ridgewood.
As Christine was signing some autographs, that is when things started to kick off. In the video here, we can see that Christine is talking to her fans.
And then out of nowhere, the protestors have some posters, which show their opposition to her wearing fur. This prompts security to intervene, as Christine hides under the desk.
This begs the question: why did Christine hide? Well, outside of the fact that she may have been embarrassed, sources claim that something untoward could have happened.
According to TMZ, there was a suggestion that Christine “believed there might be a weapon because one of the protestors reached into his pants pocket for something.”
While there is nothing to indicate, as of now, that there was a weapon, it is safe to say that there was no harm in taking precautions.
And yet, that was not the end of it. As the protestors were outside, they continued to slam the star over her support for wearing fur.
In another video here, we can see a group of outraged demonstrators. One can be heard saying the following comments: “Who wears fur other than influencers so desperate and pathetic.”
The fans on social media were not too sympathetic towards Christine though. In fact, a certain subset of people began to mock her reaction to the whole thing. One person wrote: “LMFAO THIS SHOULDN’T BE FUNNY BUT.”
Time will tell how Christine manages to recover from this, but the most worrying thing is that this could happen again. And if it does, will she reconsider her approach when it comes to wearing fur?
