With the news of Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of Raw there’s been plenty of speculation and debate on social media, but things have turned comical when Matt Cardona shared his thoughts.
Well, thoughts it a bit much as it was Cardona’s typical heel sarcasm coming out, but CM Punk stepped up to lecture him and has been getting ripped by fans on other social media platforms.
Cardona posted: “If I could go back in time…the night I was pushed off the stage in a wheelchair on Raw, I should have walked into Johnny Ace’s office…placed my neck brace on the table and walked out because I wasn’t being respected enough as Internet Champion.”
CM Punk Redubbed CM Karen by Fans
And Punk threw his hat into the ring with: “If you’d go back in time to stand up for yourself, you should stand up the workers now.”
But what happened afterwards has only made this more entertaining.

CM Karen
In a truly Karen type of move, Punk turned off his comments so only those he tags can comment. In other words, he wanted to avoid a direct backlash he knew would be coming.
Cardona’s fans are loyal, and when Cardona decided to trash an author’s books by leaving one star reviews after a back and forth on social media, his fans followed.
We don’t know what was said, but Cardona said he felt hurting someone’s income was justified and some of his fan jumped on the trolling bandwagon.
But since it’s social media, other pages will share the exchange and fans would have their say eventually.
So when we saw @wrestlingworldcc share the exchange from Twitter, we couldn’t help but notice the comments.
It’s in these that Punk was dubbed several nicknames like CM Karen, Crybaby Mark, and even one comment: “A diva showing support for other divas.”
Taking the bait
One commentator even pointed out Punk wouldn’t be saying this about AEW, but that’s something no one can know for certain.
On the flip side, there are fans thanking Punk for his comments, but mainly it’s attacking him for sticking his nose in everything.
The funny thing is, he does have a point about helping their fellow workers, but the fact he misunderstood something so obviously sarcasm has opened the door.
The information highway goes both ways, and it’ll be interesting to see if Punk leaves things be or if he’ll do something more to prove fans calling him CM Karan were right.
Do you think Punk will continue or let this drop? Let us know in the comments below.
