Meghan Markle has been accused of failing to have a brand to the point where she will ride on the coattails of what is popular.

That is according to Royal author Tina Brown. On some level, Tina’s comments do have some credibility. Prior to marrying Prince Harry, Meghan was hardly a household name in her own right.
Her career as an actress failed to take off, as she admitted on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ to having a car that did not have a functioning door. But once she entered and exited the Royal family, Meghan has delved into numerous different ventures.
This has included publishing children’s books, as well as even going as far as getting involved in United States politics by writing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to endorse her support for paid parental leave.
So in her comments to the Washington Post Live, Tina said: “Meghan doesn’t really have a brand…It’s, you know, vaccinations, it’s Ukraine, it’s women’s rights, it’s hey, my 40th birthday, let’s have a mentoring scheme.
“Nothing is really going anywhere.” In comparison, Tina was far more complimentary of Harry. She singled out his support for the Invictus Games as being an integral part of him rebranding himself after leaving the Royal Family.
And given that Harry does have a personal connection with the games, after having served in the British Army in Afghanistan, it does come across as far more authentic than anything that Meghan has been doing.
Tina added: “Harry is in a much better spot because he brilliantly started this Invictus Games and that’s what his brand should be.” In reality, Harry and Meghan come as a pair.
They left the UK together, and going forward, it is clear that they are going to be cooperating on numerous ventures. Their Netflix and Spotify deals are testament to that.
