At Dominion 6.12, Jay White has a chance to become the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. However first – he will clash with Okada on US soil in tag team action. With The Young Gun Hikule‘o by his side, Okada & Rocky Romero will have a large task ahead of them tonight at Capitol Collision.
Jay White Has Been Pulling Strings From The USA – Where Kazuchika Okada Gets A Heroes Welcome
White has been pulling the strings in BULLET CLUB from the United States, leading to a massive night for them at Wrestling Dontaku. Now, CHAOS is ready to strike back. Trent Beretta was initially set to make his NJPW return on this show, but was taken off the card by COVID-19.
While Jay White got a great reaction, the music of Kazuchika Okada nearly took the roof off the building. They were also happy to see Rocky Romero, a man who deserves credit for crafting the Forbidden Door between NJPW & AEW. However, Okada got some massive chants from the crowd – a clear fan favourite in this match.
Rocky Romero Wants To Fight The Young Gun – Hikule’o
White would get started with Okada, a preview of what is coming on June 12th – with White able to take advantage early. Okada was able to make a comeback using a big boot, before a sliding dropkick. Hikule’o would get the tag, and he’d be looking down at the 6’3” Okada.
Rocky Romero wanted to face the giant, and Okada granted him his wish. Romero would shove Hikule’o around, before nearly being shoved into the fifth row with ease. Hikule’o offered some shots to the jaw, before Romero got a poke to the eye.
Romero would follow up with a hurricanrana – sending Hikule’o into the corner – but he was easily beaten away. Switchblade would tag in and hit a Too Sweet Chop, before Hikule’o would choke Romero from the apron. Another Too Sweet Chop landed, before White applied a chinlock.
Romero would be able to break free using an armbreaker, before a kick to the shoulder. White responded by taking Okada off the apron to remove the tag option, before dragging Romero to the floor. He’d choke Romero with a cable, before Hikule’o would look for a big slam.
Romero was able to break free from the grasp of Hikule’o, but was unable to reach the hand of Okada before being picked up for a running powerslam. He’d counter into a DDT, and Okada was able to get the tag.
Jay White Just Needs One Move To Get The Win
The World Heavyweight Champion would drop Hikule’o with a running back elbow, before the body slam would land. Hikule’o shot back with a big boot, and handed a weakened Okada to his boss. The Two Sweet Chops would land, before a slam for a two count.
Okada would block a lariat into a Money Clip attempt, but White slipped out. He’d be taken into the Air Raid Crash Neckbreaker, before Okada hit a body slam and went up top for the elbow drop. Rainmaker Pose would be struck, but White would block the lariat – only to be caught with a dropkick.
Romero would help to take down Hikule’o with a dive, before a trio of lariats and tornado DDT to White. Okada would set up White on the top rope as Romero hit a dropkick to the back, before a PK and the Diablo Armbar.
White was able to slip free, and took a jumping knee and rewind kick. Romero was running wild, but was caught with a Blade Runner out of nowhere – and just like that, this one was over.
After the bell, White & Hikule’o would double team Okada – getting the last laugh tonight. Tanga Loa would be the one to make the save, with Hikule’o listening to his older brother… until White got into his ear.
