Former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Kelly Dodd has been slammed for her comments concerning the Texas shooting at Robb Elementary School.
RHOC: Kelly Dodd SLAMMED For Comparing Texas School Shooting To 9/11 Attacks-‘ Ban Kelly Dodd’
The tragedy killed 19 children and two adults, leaving the American public in mourning with serious question marks over whether or not there should be restrictions on gun ownership.
Although that may be the case, Kelly had a different take on the events. So much so that she ended up comparing the incident to none other than the 9/11 attacks.
The attacks on the World Trade Centre killed around 3,000 people, which then made the analogy a lot more difficult to swallow. And yet, Kelly did not hold back on her views.
In a post to her fans on Twitter, Kelly said: “After 9-11 we didn’t ban planes. We secured the cockpits. Secure the schools.” Those comments are very significant for the following reasons.
First of all, it suggests that Kelly is not in favour of replacing any regulations on guns. Secondly, the fact that Kelly made these controversial comments is not something out of the ordinary.
She had also stirred up a lot of controversy when she made some comments about comparing Covid-19 as “God’s way of thinning the herd.” With that being said, a lot of people had something to say about her comments.
And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media. A significant proportion of people blasted Kelly over her intensitive comments. Meanwhile, others were of the view that Kelly should be canceled over this.
One person wrote: “Can’t we just ban Kelly Dodd,” while another person stated: “Jeesh, then we also need to secure theaters. And grocery stores.
“And places of worship. And shopping malls. And . . . See the problem with her reasoning??” Kelly is certainly not shy in saying what she thinks, but perhaps she should have rethought her comments about this.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
