The women of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ are always arguing about petty drama…but the ongoing battle between Dina Manzo and Dolores Catania just got serious.
Dina Manzo, who starred on RHONJ during the show’s early seasons, has spoken up about the real reason why she doesn’t like Dolores Catania, and her claims are troubling to say the least.
RHONJ: Dina Manzo Says Dolores Catania Supported Ex-Husband Tommy Manzo After He Hired Hitman To Attack Her
According to Dina, Dolores Catania wrote a character letter to a judge in support of Dina’s ex-husband Tommy Manzo after he was arrested for hiring a hitman to brutally assault Dina and her new husband, David Cantin, back in 2015.
On Instagram, a fan commented, “I thought it was Caroline [Manzo] who wrote it so if it was Dolores why is Teresa still friends with her I mean that comes across as no loyalty towards Dina,” while a second commenter remarked, “If a friend of mine did that to other friend I wouldn’t bother with her again. Loyalty means everything to me in friends and family.”
Dina responded by simply saying “both did”. If what Dina is saying is true, it would make sense why Teresa Giudice didn’t invite Dolores to her engagement party while Dina was in attendance.
Caroline Manzo also once starred on RHONJ and is the sister-in-law of Dina’s ex-husband Tommy. It was already public knowledge that Caroline did submit a letter to the court in praise of Tommy, calling him “kind-hearted and caring,” but news of Dolores doing the same is new information. It comes as no surprise that Dina is no longer on good terms with Caroline after she clearly aligned with her attacker.
A man named John Perna was allegedly hired by Tommy Manzo to attack Dina and David. In exchange for his heinous acts of violence, Perna, who is a member of the infamous Lucchese crime family, would receive a substantial discount for his wedding reception to be held at The Brownstone, which is owned by Dina’s ex.
Dina and David were tied up and beaten during a home invasion at their New Jersey townhouse. Two masked men entered their residence and aggressively struck David with a baseball bat while the other punched Dina “multiple times” which left her with a broken nose. The couple was left bound while the men burglarized their home.
Perna was found guilty and was sentenced to two-and-a-half years behind bars, while Tommy Manzo was accused of being an accessory to robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and theft.
