Last week – Grayson Waller was turned into a trivia answer, in ‘Who did Nathan Frazier beat in his NXT 2.0 debut?’ and he blames this on Andre Chase. It was his use of an air horn that really threw Waller off his game, and cost him his latest big match. Tonight, Waller looks for revenge – as he meets Chase in singles action. However, Sarray would join up with Chase for a mixed tag team match instead with Tiffany Stratton added to the mix.
Andre Chase & Sarray Get All The Fan Support In Mixed Tag Match
Chase would start off fast with an arm wrench before applying a hammerlock. Waller would be able to send Chase off the ropes, but a shoulder tackle landed. Stratton & Sarray would enter the match, with Stratton fleeing the ring to sucker her opponent in.
Sarray would be able to apply the Muta Lock, but a hair pull got Stratton free. Chase & Sarray would stomp out their opponents, giving them a teachable moment. We’d cut to a commercial break, but when we returned – Waller was in control.
Waller filled Stratton into a moonsault, before hitting the rope walk elbow drop. Sarray would make the save, before Waller would dodge an enziguri and apply a sleeper hold. Chase would be able to fight free, and Sarray would bring the fight to her rival with a series of dropkicks.
Waller was knocked out with the Sunray Dropkick, but Stratton would hit the twisting vader bomb in the corner. Bodhi Hayward used the air horn to distract, but was hit with a vaulting body press. Back in the ring, Sarray got the roll up for the victory.
Nikkita Lyons Advances In NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament
Earlier tonight, we saw the first match in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. Now, we get a second first round match on tonight’s episode, as Arianna Grace takes on Nikkita Lyons. Grace is the daughter of WWE alumni Santino Marella, and someone who has trained in Judo, JuJitsu, and more. Lyons might be the odds on favorite to win this tournament, but Grace is not someone to overlook.
She’s start off hot with a forearm smash, before shooting for a single leg takedown. Lyons would be taken down and nearly into an armbar – before Lyons got a double leg. Grace was able to block into an another armbar attempt, but Lyons would powerbomb her way free.
An anaconda vice would be attempted by Grace, but Lyons fought free. Some heavy kicks from Lyons landed, before a big German Suplex. Spin kick and leg drop would land – and Lyons advances.
