Last week at Spring Breakin’, the team of Cora Jade & Nikitta Lyons were able to overcome the challenge of Lash Legend and Natalya. Now, Jade gets a chance to share the ring with her former hero in singles action. Natalya is looking to prove that if Jade is the future in NXT, then that future is bleak.

Cora Jade dreamed of being a WWE Superstar, dreamed of facing someone like Natalya. She saw her as a kid as a WWE live event – but when Natalya stepped into the same ring as Jade, she learned why you NEVER meet your heroes. But now with a recorded win over Natalya, she has a chance to get the biggest win of her young career, as she gets a chance to beat a future Hall of Famer.

Meeting Her Hero In The Middle Of The Ring

These would lock up hard in the middle of the ring as the bell rang, with Natalya forcing Jade into the corner. She’d grab a tight headlock takedown, but Jade blocked into a headscissors. Jade got her own headlock takedown, but Natalya had the same counter.

More chain wrestling would follow, before Natalya got a roll up for a one before Jade countered. Natalya would nearly grab an armbar, but Jade was able to slip free moments later. Jade would nearly get control of the match, but Natalya slipped out to the floor.

Throughout the picture in picture break, Natalya would grab a sleeper hold – with Jade fighting free. She’d be dropped with the discus lariat from Natalya, once again giving the veteran control. Natalya would get Jade up into a surfboard stretch – with Jade breaking free and hitting a dropkick.

Cora Jade Earns Some Respect As She Refuses To Tap Out

Natalya shoved Jade to the mat, and Jade came back with a slap to the jaw. A powerbomb would be set up, but Jade blocked into an arm drag. Jade hit a second armdrag, before rushing a knee into the nose of Natalya. Tornado DDT would land, but Natalya managed to kick out before three.

Natalya would almost apply the Sharpshooter, but was rolled up. Another big lariat landed, before launching Jade into the corner with a snap suplex. A chop block would follow, before a dragon screw on the mat. Natalya bent the leg of Jade around the post, before looking inot applying a Figure Four Leg Lock around the post.

Jade had this scouted, and would kick Natalya in the face. She’d double stomp the back of Natalya, but was unable to get the three count. Sliced Bread would land, but once again – Natalya hung in there. Jade would go for Sharpshooter on Natalya – but would not be able to get the win.

Natalya got the dropkick, and slapped on a deep sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Jade nearly made the ropes twice, but would pass out before she tapped out. Her toughness was clear, but Natalya gets the win – but Jade got the respect of the legend.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
