Cora Jade proved she had grit at NXT: WarGames, when she threw herself off the cage and won the match with an injured arm. However, despite coming out over the team which included Dakota Kai, Jade didn’t get enough to call their issues done. A brutal beatdown is still fresh in her mind, and tonight she gets another chance to take Kai down a peg. Earlier in the night, Kai warned Jade about getting too friendly with Raquel Gonzalez, seeing her ending up in the same place that Kai found herself in – chewed up, used, and spit out.
Cora Jade Gets The Win Over Dakota Kai, Toxic Attraction Get The Post Match Beatdown
Kai kicked this one off fast with a pump kick, before being taken down with a flying headscissor by Jade. Jade was having some issues with her left shoulder still, but was cleared to compete. Kai noticed, and found a chance to yank it into the turnbuckle.
A PK to the jaw had her knees buckling, before she was taken into the ring for an armbar. Kai was relentless on the arm, hitting a hip drop onto it before stretching it out. Short arm scissors was applied, but Jade was able to fight free and send Kai to the outside. Taking the second to center herself, Jade would hit some fast offense when Kai was back into the fight.
A hurricanrana was followed by a shotgun dropkick off the middle rope, getting a two count. Kai would hit the spin out cutter, getting a near fall of her own. Frustration would set in, and Kai grabbed her shovel. The referee yanked it away and Jade got the roll up win. Mandy Rose was on commentary, and is starting to realize that when Jade gets her title shot – she could be in danger.
After the match, Kai hit a pump kick and wanted to use the shovel, but Gonzalez made the save and got some blows in on Kai. Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin made their way to the ring, and Rose would hit Jade from behind. Rose is worried about Jade, and her resilience is doing her some justice, and could be the downfall of the champ.
Tony D’Angelo Sends Andre Chase To Sleep With The Fishes, Challenges Pete Dunne For Next Week
Andre Chase has a knack for getting into trouble. He would offer some wisdom to Team 2.0 at NXT: WarGames, and no one wanted to hear it. After getting on the bad side of Tony D’Angelo, he has a chance for a teachable moment in the ring tonight as two of NXT 2.0’s most colorful characters clash. D’Angelo still has the mouthguard of Pete Dunne, treating it as a trophy.
Chase would try to teach D’Angelo and got punched in the face and taken to the mat. D’Angelo had a tight waist lock, but Chase got the ropes. His face would still be smashed into the corners, before a big Belly to Belly Suplex. Chase would be cheered on by his student section, before a big hip toss send him flying across the ring.
Showing his skills, Chase would nail a snap neckbreaker before some mounted punches before spelling out “CHASE U” as he stopped on D’Angelo. A russian leg sweep got another near fall, before D’Angelo pulled the sweater over the head of Chase before some big punches and a Swinging Fisherman Neckbreaker for the win.
Since coming to NXT 2.0, he’s accomplished everything he set out to do. At WarGames, he said he’d brutalize Dunne and did, but now Dunne is here looking for revenge. D’Angelo would keep the trash talking coming, but next week they can sort out their issues in the ring. He’s got dealing with a guy who… deals with things tonight. The cheap shot was anticipated, and Dunne snapped some fingers, and took his mouthguard back.
Boa Grabs A Win, Gonzalez Wants A Street Fight
Boa recently got an attack on Edirs Enofe and Solo Sikoa, who just had a hard fought match against each other. Enofe would get the chance to fight back tonight, taking the fight right to Boa as their match began. Boa would hit a big kick before looking for a Cobra Clutch. Sikoa was watching from backstage, as Boa was able to land a big suplex.
Enofe would dodge a pump kick, and nailed a dropkick right to the face. He’d come off the middle rope but was hit with a roundhouse kick. A second KO kick would follow, getting Boa a big win.
After this match, Gonzalez would call for a street fight against Dakota Kai – wanting to end things how they started. Who will get the win? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
