It wouldn’t be a NJPW show without a six man tag team match, and tonight Chris Jericho is joining the ranks of Suzuki-gun. Alongside Sammy Guevara & Minoru Suzuki, they will take on Shota Umino, Wheeler Yuta, and Eddie Kingston. Umino has a bone to pick with Jericho after being attacked during Wrestle Kingdom 14 in front of his father, while Eddie Kingston has been out for the head of Jericho for months. Round out the team with Wheeler Yuta, and you have one helluva trios match. This one also will determine who gets the advantage at Blood & Guts on Wednesday, adding some extra stakes.
Eddie Kingston Doesn’t Fear Minoru Suzuki
Jericho would start things off with Yuta, and would get the taste slapped from his mouth. Yuta nailed a total of six German Suplexes before hitting Painthriller and went right into the crossface. Suzuki & Guevara made the save, before we got a brawl on the outside. Jericho, Guevara & Suzuki got the advantage, and would press it in the ring as Guevara went to work on Yuta.
Yuta nailed a body slam and senton, before tagging Umino into the match.. Jericho took the fight to Umino, before Kingston got the tag. Kingston would trade blows with Minoru Suzuki in the middle of the ring, both men chopping hard and harder as the exchange went on. Suzuki would win out, before Kingston was stomped in the corner.
Jericho would get the tag, and Kingston found his second wind for some machine gun chops. Kingston threw a strike at Suzuki – and was caught with armbar over the top rope. Jericho would hit the armbreaker, before Suzuki followed up with PK in the middle of the ring.
Kingston would be set up for the dive from Guevara, but Guevara was caught into an exploder suplex before the running STO. Umino got the tag, before hitting the Fisherman Suplex for a two count. Kingston would follow everyone to the outside with a brawl with the elbow suicida, before Suzuki teased the crowd with a dive.
Jericho Appreciation Society Win Blood & Guts Advantage
Back in the ring, Yuta was hit the the standing Spanish Fly. However, Kingston was legal and would hit the backdrop and apply the Stretch Plum. Jericho & Suzuki made the save, but were taken out.. Umino took the cutter from Guevara, and Yuta took Guevara down.
Jericho nailed Umino with Codebreaker, getting a two count. Umino would hit a super powerslam in response, but Suzuki would save Jericho. Guevara hit GTH on Yuta on the floor, before Jericho would be hit with the Uraken as he tried for the Lionsault. Umino would take the bat to the spine, and Judas Effect was dodged before a tornado DDT into a brainbuster for the two.
Walls Of Jericho was applied to Jericho, and it took both Guevara & Suzuki to get Jericho free. Suzuki would catch Kingston with the Gotch Style Piledriver, but Umino kept fighting before taking Judas Effect. The J.A.S get the advantage at Blood & Guts!
