In the recent period, the American Beauty actor Kevin Spacey is labeled as a sexual harasser. He receives accusations of sexually harassing three men in the UK.
Spacey is the artistic director of the Old Vic Theater for 10 years. From 2004 until 2014. All these alleged attacks happen during this period.
“I Will Prove My Innocence!” – Kevin Spacey Agrees To Appear In UK Court Voluntarily
The first man, is a victim of his assaults two times, back in 2005. The second man, in his 30s, accuses Spacey of assaulting him back in 2008. The third man says he is a victim of sexual assault more recently, in 2013.
The accusations go to an extent that states that Kevin Spacey had sex with one of the victims without the person’s consent.
Even though these wild accusations appear in the recent period, this is not the first time that the actor is subject to such accusations.
Back in 2017, the actor Anthony Rapp accuses Kevin Spacey of making a sexual advance on him. All this, back in 1986 when he is only 14 years old! Fifteen others as well accuse him of sexually harassing them, sometime in the past. First, Heather Unruh accuses him of sexually harassing her minor-age son. Secondly, the actor Roberto Cavazos claims he is another victim. Richard Dreyfuss’s son claims to be a victim as well. Furthermore, additional eight people who were in the ‘House Of Cards’ claim that they were subjected to harassment.
As a result of these accusations, Spacey says his farewell to Netflix and gets out of several movies and series. This includes his movie Gore, and the last season of the House Of Cards series.
British prosecutors state that they would ask for Kevin Spacey’s immediate extradition from the US. But now the actor releases the first official statement regarding this and pledges to appear in the UK voluntarily.
According to Good Morning America, Kevin is sure that he can prove that he is innocent. He is confident that he will acquit the charges.
Kevin Spacey’s spokesman says that the actor is expecting a fair trial. Moreover, he is sure that this is yet another defamation case against him.
“I very much appreciate the Crown Prosecution Service’s statement. They carefully reminded the media and the public that I am entitled to a fair trial. That I am innocent until proven otherwise. While I feel disappointment with their decision to move forward, I will voluntarily appear in the U.K. As soon as I can arrange and defend myself against these charges, which I am confident will prove my innocence.”
These are the words of the spokesman that Kevin authorizes to speak on the matter.
Whether these accusations are true, or not, we’ll leave it to the court to decide. However, in the meantime, more and more cases against the actor appear and things are not looking good for him.
