‘Real Housewives of New York’ alum Jill Zarin sat alongside ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ alum Brandi Glanville during a recent episode of ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with Andy Cohen, and the two made unexpected revelations about getting abortions when they were teenagers. The women, who were there to promote their new show, ‘Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club’, got extremely candid with Cohen when it came to making the choice to discontinue their unplanned pregnancies at an early age.
When Cohen credited Zarin for discussing abortion and a woman’s right to choose on her social media accounts, she confirmed that she had a personal connection to the cause. “I did. I’m horrified about what happened this week with Roe v. Wade. I myself had an abortion when I was in my late teens,” she explained.

“It was my choice and I don’t know how my life would have been different today.” The Supreme Court recently decided to overturn the ruling that once established a constitutional right to get an abortion if a woman chooses to do so.
But Jill Zarin wasn’t the only one willing to open up to Cohen. Brandi Glanville was next to admit that she also elected to get an abortion as a teen. “You did, too, Brandi?” Asked Cohen, to which Glanville replied, “I did at 17”.” I feel very strongly that pro-life people have a right to choose that and that’s the whole point, you have a choice. Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, you should be able to have the choice,” Zarin added.
Earlier in the week Zarin took to social media to express disbelief when the majority of Supreme Court Justices voted to overturn the 1973 ruling. “I am horrified that women no longer have the right to choose what to do with our bodies!!!!,” she wrote.
She also shared a video of herself discussing her feelings on the recent SCOTUS decision, saying, “Today is one of the worst days of my life, on this planet, as a woman, as an American, as a human being, that men took away the right for us to choose what to do with our bodies. I had an abortion when I was in my late teens, and my life would have been so dramatically affected. Who knows, I may have put it up for adoption and wondered my entire life, ‘Was it a mistake?’”
“But it was my right to choose, and how dare anybody take that right away from me… We’re going to have to go vote, we’re going to have to go get judges who believe that women have the right to choose. The most important right is that we should all be able to choose! If you want to be pro-choice, you should be able to choose to be pro-choice. If you want to be pro-life, should be able to choose pro-life. Horrified,” Zarin stated.
