Prince Harry was caught awkwardly trying to get a glimpse of his brother Prince William during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Prince William Refused To Make Eye Contact With Prince Harry Despite His Attempts-‘Don’t Blame Him’
The brothers, for their part, were on hand to attend the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, 3rd June 2022. And during the course of the process, they ended up sitting opposite each other with their respective wives: Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.
While that may have been the case, it did not stop Harry from taking a peek at his brother. In the picture here, we can see that Harry is looking in the direction of his brother. William refuses to look that way, which highlights the tension in the family.
And that is precisely how royal expert Russell Myers saw things. In his comments, he said: “It was very, very frosty inside the church.”You could cut the atmosphere with a knife.
“The brothers didn’t lock eyes or make eye contact at all. Harry was craning his neck to look at William and William didn’t look back at him.”
It is not exactly clear if we can read too much into this, as the brothers will have had their attention focused on the ceremony at hand. But one thing for sure is that their ‘relationship’ is not going to be fixed overnight.
But by being in each other’s presence, this would be the perfect opportunity to hand out an olive branch. And yet, we are still quite far from that happening.
Russell added: “I think there’s still a lot of bad atmosphere going on and there needs to be a bit more water under the bridge until those brothers come back together.”
The response from the fans on social media was much the same. People could feel the tension that was visible and understood William’s hesitancy. One person wrote: “Don’t blame him.”
