Last night, during Forbidden Door – we’d have a mystery debut to get excited about. Bryan Danielson was unable to make hit into the ring for his match with Zack Sabre Jr. Instead, he’d choose to debut the latest member of Blackpool Combat Club, who ended up being Claudio Castagnoli. The former Cesaro would get a massive reaction, and he was always planned to show up in AEW.
Tony Khan Already Have Claudio Castagnoli Under Contract
During the post media press conference, Tony Khan would get a chance to speak about last night’s huge debut. He had to speed up the debut of Claudio Castagnoli.
“I was very fortunate. I talked to Bryan on the phone last weekend. He just wasn’t feeling 100%. As soon as he said that I said ‘We’re eight days from the pay-per-view. but if you’re not feeling 100% today, don’t even think about wrestling on the pay-per-view. Don’t even think about wrestling at Blood and Guts.’ I didn’t even want to take another chance as soon as he said that. So he mentioned Claudio, and, I said ‘it’s funny cause I have Claudio under contract, Bryan.’”
Like A Kid In A Candy Store In AEW
Claudio Castagnoli would also have a chance to speak, and would be incredibly excited to be in AEW. Claudio would be quoted saying the following.
“Sometimes the stars align for a perfect moment. It’s what happened tonight. I hope Bryan’s alright, I know Bryan will be back. It’s just a perfect fit, I just talked to Jon Moxley and we’ve been going back 10-12 years, a long time. We used to ride together, work out together and we still do and we talk. It just fits yanno and at the end of the day, I’m always looking for new challenges and here in AEW, it’s like I’m a kid in a candy store.
