Brody King was close to claiming the Interim AEW World Championship last week, after earning a shot by winning the Royal Rampage match. However, he’s got another issue to deal with – that being the fact that Darby Allin felt the need to remind King that he belonged in AEW. This would quickly escalate, with a brawl on AEW Rampage, and King even attacking Allin during an autograph signing. Tonight, these two will meet in the ring for a singles grudge match.

Darby Allin Makes The First Mistake

At 285lbs, Brody King is someone who dwarfs Darby Allin in terms of size – but Allin would nail a dropkick as the bell rang. King was sent to the floor, but Allin got his feet caught on the ropes going for a dive. Allin would be grabbed and driven into the ring post, before being tossed into the ring.

King would throw a heavy lariat in the ring – before nearly caving in the chest of Allin with a chop. Allin would get ragdolled, as King tossed him across the ring and sent him tumbling the floor. A beil throw on the floor would see Allin slam off the barricade, and crash onto concrete.

King would throw Allin a second time, keeping this pressure on. The ring was completely controlled by King, who yelled for Allin to stay down. This is not something Allin will ever do, and he’d hit the ring before taking a scoop slam and jumping senton. Allin was having issues breathing, and King would choke him on the ropes.

    Brody King Is A Monster

King would chop Allin out of the ring, and took a second to soak the crowd in. Allin would take his belt off, and Taz said that he’s gonna need a bigger belt. He’d use it to trip King and drag him to the floor, before laying in some right hands. Cannonball Dive from the ring would land, and suddenly Allin had a chance.

Coffin Splashes in the ring would see Allin get caught in the sleeper hold, and get placed on the top rope. Clubbing blows would follow, before Allin hit the Code Red for a two count. He’d maintain wrist control for a double shoulder lock, but King would break free. Allin moved into a rear naked choke, and King crushed him into the corner.

King would get yanked into the steel of the turnbuckle, before Allin would look for a stunner on the apron. He’d be caught in the choke, left dangling – before being dropped to the floor. Allin made it back to the ring, but Gonzo Bomb would end this one in dominant fashion.

After the bell, King would lure Sting to the ring by keeping the beating coming on Allin. The Icon would emerge and hit the Scorpion Deathdrop, before Malakai Black would get him with the vile Black Mist. Following this, the music of Miro would sound – a man who respects Allin after some major battles, but wasn’t a fool who would rush in into a two on one beatdown.

Blackpool Combat Club Brings Violence To Best Friends

Once upon a time, Wheeler Yuta was a promising up and coming wrestler who would hang out around Best Friends. That all changed when Blackpool Combat Club formed, and Yuta would join them – choosing to instead learn from the likes of Bryan Danielson & William Regal. Tonight, Yuta will team up with Jon Moxley – as they take on the duo of Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta in tag team action.

Beretta would kick things off with Moxley, who was able to take Beretta down to the mat. Moxley would grab the wrist lock, but Beretta was able to break free. Moxley would hit the Dragon Screw, before Yuta got the tag. Chuck would be demanded to hit the ring, so Yuta could wrestle his old mentor.

Chuck would run him down with a shoulder tackle, before Beretta tagged in and would take this one into a brawl. Yuta would be able to hit some elbow strikes, before Beretta fired back with a backdrop driver. Chuck would whip Yuta into the barricades on the floor – before keeping the pressure on in the ring.

Wheeler Yuta Pins His Former Mentor

Sole Food and Half & Half Suplex Combo from Best Friends, and on commentary William Regal would say he loves to see Yuta get tested by great wrestlers like Best Friends. Yuta would plant Chuck with the PainThriller, and looked to make the tag to Moxley. Moxley nailed the lariat as he hit the ring, before the Hammer & Anvil elbows.

Beretta would dive into a cutter from Moxley, before getting his head stomped in. Yuta was tagged in, but was crotched on the top rope. Moxley was planted with the Awful Waffle, before Yuta took a set of piledrivers – yet somehow kicked out!

Yuta would trade strikes with Beretta before getting dropped with Crunchy- but Moxley made the save with the running knee strike. Moxley was removed from the apron, before Chuck tagged in. A chokehold would see Yuta thrown into the corner, before he’d block the Awful Waffle into the Seatbelt Pin for the win. OC would speak on commentary – saying that was a move Chuck taught Yuta.

Do you think this will be the last time Yuta locks up with Best Friends? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
