Serena Deeb will not rest until Hikaru Shida is retired due to injury. Their feud has been going on for months now, and Deeb can’t rest knowing that Shida leads their series 2-1. Tonight, Deeb looks to even up the score – and potentially take Shida out for good in the process.
Serena Deeb Destroys Hikaru Shida, Forces Referee Stoppage
Before Shida even made her entrance, Deeb would rush in with a chop block like she was launched out of a cannon. Deeb would keep the beating coming, and drive the knee of Shida into the ring steps. Shida would have to find her footing and get into the ring for this one to be official. Deeb was waiting, and rushed in as the match was made official.
She’d nail some hip attacks to the knee of Shida, slamming down on it time and time again. Shida could barely stand, and Deeb would kick away at the leg before a snap dragon suplex. Deeb would apply the single leg crab on Shida, but the referee would stop the match before Shida would submit.
This ties up the series in brutal fashion, and Deeb kept the beating coming after the bell. Kendo stick shots to the knee would follow, and the referees would have to make the save. Deeb did just what she said she was going to do, you can’t fault her because Shida wasn’t ready.
Can Matt Hardy Delete Someone With Zero Fear?
With AEW Dynamite coming from North Carolina tonight, it was impossible that ‘Big Money’ Matt Hardy wouldn’t find a way to get onto the card. However, he’d take the challenge of Penta El Zero Miedo, who is riding solo as his brother Rey Fenix rehabs an arm injury.
Penta would get his taunt out of the way first, and Hardy got the delete taunt in. They’d go back and forth with taunts before Penta hit a spine kick and was run down with a lariat. Hardy was dropped with a superkick, before getting some chops in the corner.
Penta would sent Hardy to the outside, but Private Party distracted Penta as Hardy got the beatdown started. Back in the ring, Hardy would hit a second rope elbow strike to the back of the neck for a two count. Hardy drove Penta face first into the turnbuckle pads, which just fired Penta up. Two slingblades and a backbreaker would follow, before Penta looked for Fear Factor.
Hardy blocked into a DDT, before getting hung up in the corner after a superplex attempt gone wrong. Penta hit a double stomp, but Hardy kicked out at two. Taking the fight to the apron, Hardy would nail the Side Effect – but even this wouldn’t keep Penta down. A moonsault would be attempted by Hardy, but he crashed and burned. Penta nailed Fear Factor, and this was over.
After the match, Malakai Black would attack Penta and rip the mask open. Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. made the save, and three on one was bad odds for Black. He’d laugh this off – as Brody King appeared. He’d take out all three men with ease, crushing Pillman with a cannonball and having Black toss Garrison into a slam.
Will Brody King & Malakai Black be stoppable in AEW? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
