Alexa Bliss Feels Anyone But Liv Morgan Would Have Been Wrong Choice At Money In The Bank

After years of being a fan favorite with the fans of WWE, Liv Morgan finally got her big chance when she won the Money in the Bank match. Fans and wrestlers alike were quick to praise this victory and Morgan herself, and Alexa Bliss knows that no one else would have gotten that same reaction for a victory.

Alexa Bliss Knows Liv Morgan Was The Right Choice At Money In The Bank

While speaking with Metro, Alexa Bliss would explain that the match as a whole would not have been looked at kindly by fans had Liv Morgan not got the win. Bliss would be quoted saying the following.

“She deserves it, she deserves to be in the spot she’s in now. She has trained and worked her butt off and is very passionate and loves what she does. So, this is her time! If it was anyone else, I don’t think the match would have been perceived as well. We wanted to see Liv win, and the crowd wanted to see Liv win. She’s the choice. She’s worked so hard and she deserves that win. She picked her moment, she capitalised, she pushed Becky off the ladder, there you go! Very happy for her!”

The Real Work Begins When You’re Champion

However, now the real work begins for Liv Morgan. She would cash in later the same night, and took the Smackdown Women’s Championship from Ronda Rousey – who gets her rematch later this month at Summerslam. Rousey is one of the most dominate females in WWE history, and her legit MMA skills haven’t hurt that situation.

Many feel the only reason Morgan became champion was that Rousey had just fought Natalya in a close title defense, and Morgan didn’t have to face a 100% Rousey. This is what makes Summerslam the real test for Morgan, as if she can remain champion – she will prove she truly does belong in this spot.

Add in the potential looming threat of the returning Bayley, and the rest of 2022 could be very interesting for Liv Morgan. Do you think she can remain champion? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
