‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep things rolling with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
We’re finally able to move on to arguably the weakest ending to one of the worst executed storylines in recent history with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) dying off camera, but there’s a chance for redemption for the writers.
It looks like his death will cause a few headaches for the Newmans, but will it amount to much?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, July 28: The sharks are circling
With Ashland gone, it would seem reasonable to expect the Newmans to be able to take a breath, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s karma’s going to make that hard for the short term and questions will be asked.
So far, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the only one to outwardly question Victor about how he got there so fast and what he knew about Ashland being moved.
We think Victor lied through his teeth once again and had Ashland and his car taken elsewhere to be disposed of to take the blame off Nick.
It makes sense since Ashland wasn’t found in Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)’s home, so he’s expect things to blow over.
And Victor’s stated he’ll take care of everything, which will involve attempting to browbeat Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) into submission like he did when Ashland went missing.
Chance looks like he’s not going to be pushed around much longer, and it may end up Nick will be charged with something for striking Ashland and subsequently causing Ashland’s accident.
He could look to get the truth out of Victor, and it has possibilities to lead to some interesting exchanges.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, July 28: Summer isn’t buying it
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is going to be busy now that she’s going to be the focus of Genoa City, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will set her next plan into motion.
It seems simple enough on the surface. All she has to do is convince Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) that it’s a good idea to hire her so she can quietly set Diane up.
The only problem with that is Summer will spot her con a mile away, and she’ll demand to know what Phyllis is up to and how does Diane fit into it?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers expect Phyllis to try to deny it and talk her way out of it, but Summer will give her that knowing look and call her out.
Phyllis will then lay out her plan and it’ll be up to Summer to go along with it or send Phyllis packing.
