‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with some fun spoilery goodies.
There’s some shifting happening in Genoa City, and while it may not be as grandiose as we might’ve hoped for, it’s going to be pretty interesting to see how things work out.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, July 8: Jack’s on the hot seat
With Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) theoretically taken care of, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will turn her attention to sending Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) packing.
To make things entertaining and far more interesting, there’s a chance Nikki’s been so caught up in other things that she doesn’t know Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) hired her in a PR role.

So, she’ll corner Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) when their paths cross and demand some answers from Jack about how he could allow them to hire Diane and keep in Genoa City.
This should be pretty good as Jack’s answer will range from mild to telling her off, depending on her mood.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers expects him to tell her it wasn’t his decision and he’s not going to stand in his son’s way of running his own life.
He may even add he’s not controlling and manipulative in their lives like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But that’ll depend on what kind of mood he’s in when having his way of parenting questioned.
We don’t think he’ll be trying to start a new fight, but he’ll refuse to get involved more than he is.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, July 8: What’s the future hold
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is going to have some concerns about her job life with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) returning and wanting to take over.
It’s understandable since everyone knew Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was going to be the odd man out, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) didn’t give her job back to her, and we’re starting to wonder if he’s thinking of a three CEO type of position.
How far that’ll go is the question of the day, and since Victor’s not being communicative to see who will trust him, Sally will wonder about her future with Adam.
She knows Victor and Victoria don’t approve of her, but she’ll also be concerned about whether or not Victor will try to force her out of Adam’s life.
Adam will fight for her, but she’s seen how they treat family members and outsiders, and she’ll feel like her head is on two chopping blocks.
