According to Elon Musk, ex-President Donald Trump has had enough of the spotlight and attention. One thing that he now needs to do is to ‘sail into the sunset’ and go away from the political scene. It is time for him to step aside and make room for someone with a better qualification. Based on previous statements from the billionaire, he most probably aims at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Elon Musk is not someone that is ‘quiet’ when it comes to politics. He is not afraid to take sides and express his views openly on social media. Now, his 100 million followers on Twitter are witnessing his opposition to the idea of a second term for Donald Trump. He points out that at last, the states need someone with a ‘fresh’ mind. There is no need for someone who is 76 years old, or even better that will be 82 and the end of his second term to run the country.
Elon Musk Thinks Trump Should Sit Aside For The 2024 Elections
“Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America. If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign.” – he says.
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset. Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.” – Elon tweets.
Musk had pointed out several times until now that he sees ex-President Trump as someone that causes ‘too much drama’. That is one of the things he doesn’t like in him. However, he agrees that when Trump was in office there was better energy independence, lower taxes, better border control, etc. Musk says that he sees Trump as a man that has already done his part. Furthermore, he states that the legal maximum age for the start of the presidential term should be at 69 years of age. Anyone older than that can do more harm than good to the country.
Elon would be undecisive who to support if Trump is to run for the presidency once more. However, he points out that there is no doubt in his support for the Republican party. Adding that Ron DeSantis might easily take the win from Biden’s hands if he is to be nominated as a candidate from the Republican party.
This ‘release’ of information against ex-President Trump comes as a response to Trump’s rally in Alaska. The rally took place last Saturday, and covered various topics. Trump also spoke about Musk and his ongoing businesses. He pointed out that he is surprised that Elon didn’t vote Republican until now, since he most certainly told him differently when he was in office.
Trump apparently had a look at Elon’s deal to buy the social media company Twitter. He says that the deal ‘does not look good for Elon’. He says that the deal is ’rotten’ and that Elon now might be stuck to buying the company by any means.
On the other hand, Musk is in an open argument with the current president Joe Biden. He had already exchanged some jabs with him via social media, and interviews. He states that the economy under Biden doesn’t look too good. According to him, taking some measures for improving the economy as soon as possible is a must.
What do you think? Does Trump stand a chance if he runs for President once again?
