The royal couple may live a completely different life now, but at one point, they had a tendency to party hard. They met each other in around 2002 when they were students at St. Andrews University, Scotland.
It is then claimed that they split up for a short time in 2007 before they reconciled. Three years later, William proposed and the rest was history. While they have three children now, they did enjoy the party lifestyle.
In the clip here, we can see a series of pictures of William and Kate dancing. They appear to be very drunk, as they then make their way to sit in a car.
The video instantly went viral and received over 4 million views and counting. This raised a lot of talking points for the following reasons.
First of all, a certain subset of people were of the view that there was a discrepancy between the treatment that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would get, had they been pictured doing a similar thing.
One person wrote: “If it was Harry and His wife it would be a scandal,” while another person stated: “It’s all good but if it was our gurl Megan would be a different story.”
Secondly, the reaction to William and Kate’s pictures divided social media. Although people recognised that this is what young couple’s may do, some began to troll the pair extensively.
One such user said: “She didn’t stay in and knit,” while another person stated: “A[nd] they started pegging on the day they were dating? Just curious.” Fast Forward today, William and Kate have bigger issues at hand.
They are some of the leading figures of the monarchy at a time where anti-royal sentiment are increasing. And that appears to be the most pressing issue that they will have to combat.
