Floyd Mayweather has been slammed in response to him spending $18,000 on a car seat.
Floyd Mayweather SLAMMED By Animals Rights Group PETA For $18000 Fur In Car Seat
According to reports, the boxing legend spent the money for his grandson Kentrell Jr. In the video here, we can see that a 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan has been customised in order to include the new features.
The fur is in an amongst the yellow interior. Despite providing his grandchildren with the finest thing on offer, Mayweather began to receive a huge amount of criticism from none other than the ‘Ethical Treatment of Animals’ organisation – PETA.
This was based on the fact that the boxer had previously been arrested on the grounds of alleged domestic violence in 2010. Therefore, the fact that Mayweather was supporting an industry where its critics argue that it engages in animal cruelty did not go down very well.
In an official statement on behalf of the PETA organisation, a representative said: “Did Floyd Mayweather, who has a history of assault and battery of defenceless victims, really seek to update it by supporting an industry that throttles animals to death in addition to poisoning and electrocuting them?”
Supporters of Mayweather will naturally argue that he has earned the right to spend his money on whatever he wishes. After all, he managed to navigate the brutal sport of boxing and come out as a billionaire.
Therefore, the fact that he wants to spend it on lavish purchases is ultimately something that he will decide. And yet, the organisation continued to double down on their beliefs.
The following comments confirmed as much: “This man is hardly a role model for compassion and understanding, but to try to make cruelty look attractive to a child could earn him a medal for corrupting the natural kindness of a minor.”
It is safe to say that Mayweather will continue to do what he thinks is best, regardless of what others have to say about it all. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
