Imagine attacking and speaking out to various people on the global scene that they are greedy, that they are not doing things right, and at the same time doing all these things by yourself in the background.
Jake Paul is vocal when it comes to fighter’s payment and insurance. His call-outs to Dana White are the most popular form of criticism by him.
Jake Paul Does Not Give Any Of The PPV Money To His Opponent Rahman
However, in order to criticize someone about something you need to make sure you are completely correct in that context. Jake Paul is definitely not.
The Youtuber turned boxer, Jake Laul has a professional record of 5-0-0 and for quite some time now, he is seeking to extend it. It had not been easy until now. Firstly, he was unable to find himself an opponent. After that, his opponent backed up from the fight, and now finally he found himself someone “fool” enough to fight him.
We say fool enough because, as his opponent Hasim Rahman says, Jake will take 100% of the pay-per-view money that the event generates. Rahman has decided to go vocal about this due to a video that Jake posts on social media.
In the video Jake ‘plays’ that he has a hurt back from carrying the weight of the promoting of the fight on his back. This makes Rahman angry at him, so he says it all as it is.
“No, you have to respond within 45 minutes, before the top of the hour, or the offer’s off.” – This is what Paul’s team told to Rahman Jr. “and you’ll never get the opportunity to fight Jake Paul again.”
“Mr. “Increase Fighter Pay.” – Rahman Jr. posts to his Instagram stories. “Maybe if I wasn’t getting 0% of the PPV you’d have some help, don’t blame me dumbass.”
Jake Paul took got frustrated about this claim and told that he is getting paid enough. But is he paid equally? Jake continues to say that all this is because Rahman wants to squeeze as much money as possible from the fight. According to him, he is already getting more than 10 times ‘his usual pay’.
“He’s trying to suck more money out of the fight.” – Paul complains. “He’s trying to do anything he can to claw and make the money because I think he realizes the consequences of what might happen.’”
How will this play out in the end only time will tell. However, for someone that is so vocal about fighter’s pay, this is a low move from Paul. What do you think, should Rahman have a piece of the PPV action as well?
