Meghan Markle had reportedly caused a huge scene during a royal tour in Australia in 2018.
Meghan Caused A Scene On Royal Tour-‘Abrasive Towards Her Four Female Staff, Local British Diplomats, Meghan Allegedly Threw A Cup Of Tea’
That is according to Royal author Tom Bower in his book ‘Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsor’s.’ This claim arrives in response to Buckingham Palace’s inquiry looking into allegations that Meghan had bullied members of royal staff.
While the findings have not established that Meghan had done anything, coupled with the fact that the Duchess of Sussex has denied those claims, Tom’s account paints a different picture.
His comments indicate that Meghan allowed an environment where bullying could occur. In his book, Tom wrote: “Meghan was allegedly abrasive towards her four female staff and even towards the local British diplomats.
“According to one report, Meghan allegedly threw a cup of tea into the air. Her anger may have been partly fuelled by Harry.” Nevertheless, it is important to take those comments with a pinch of salt.
First of all, if this is the case, then it could easily be backed up by Buckingham Palace publishing the findings.
This is irrespective of the fact that the Palace has stated they will not publish anything on the grounds they want to protect the privacy of those involved.
Secondly, given that Tom’s book is set to come out on Thursday, 21st 2022, this could easily be seen as an attempt to garner publicity for it.
It is not surprising that this generated a lot of talking points on social media. A certain subset of people agreed that this justified claims that Meghan had engaged in acts of bullying. Meanwhile, others were not convinced and mocked Tom’s account.
One person wrote: “Wait, Bower could have asked where did the cup land? Against the wall? On the table? How far did it fly?”
In reality, only Meghan and the royals really know what went down. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
