Meghan Markle had reportedly gotten her Wikipedia page changed when she met Prince Harry.
Meghan Markle Changed Her Wikipedia Profile When She Met Harry-‘She Decided That Her Past Story Needed Adjustment’
That is according to Royal author Tom Bower in his book called, ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors.’
According to Page Six in 2020, Meghan’s page had some changes, but the people that were responsible for this were “linked to a Los Angeles PR firm with no known links to the duchess.”
And at the time, speculation emerged that friends closest to Meghan had decided to make the changes. But according to Tom, this was wide of the mark.
In fact, he went on to stress how the Duchess of Sussex was responsible for it all. In his book, Tom wrote: “In late September 2016 nothing was more important than her relationship with Harry.
“She decided that her past story needed adjustment. On 9th October, 2016, a PR agency in Los Angeles changed her Wikipedia entry.”
This begs the question: what changes were made on her page? Well, it is claimed that Meghan’s time on the game show ‘Deal or No Deal’ was removed. Not only that, but there were some extra things that were inserted in her profile.
This included apparent claims of humanitarian work in Rwanda and Afghanistan. And the implication of all this seems to indicate that there was an attempt to improve the image of the Duchess.
The fans on social media had a field day with the comments. A subset of people could not forget the fact that Meghan’s prior work had seen her do a variety of things, which were far from anything connected to royalty.
One person wrote: “Going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole is fun because you can find out that meghan markle was the model that opened case 24 in season 2 of deal or no deal.”
In reality, only Meghan knows if this had occurred. And if so, for what purpose was it done? So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
