Meghan Markle turned down the opportunity to appear on Strictly Come Dancing after her dreams of being a celebrity chef failed.
Meghan Markle’s Dream Of Becoming A Celebrity Chef Failed-‘While Meghan Liked Eating Good Food, Her Cooking Skills Were Limited’
That is according to Royal author Tom Bower’s book called ‘Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsor’s.’ It is claimed that this all played out during Meghan’s visit to the UK in 2013.
During the course of that process, she apparently ended up coming across TV agent Jonathan Shalit. Meghan had ambitions for becoming a celebrity TV chef, but this did not go down very well due to her apparent lack of cooking skills.
In his book, Tom wrote: “Shalit was excited. She was charming, good-looking and admired by the small audience for Suits. He was unaware that while Meghan liked eating good food, her cooking skills were limited.”
But that was not the end of the matter, though. Meghan had managed to secure herself an audition for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ through Jonathan.
However, this failed to materialise simply because Meghan was preoccupied with filming for her TV show ‘Suits.’ Therefore, it was not possible to balance two conflicting duties especially since they were being filmed in separate countries.
And that ended any hopes of Meghan appearing on the dancing show, much to Jonathon’s disappointment. Tom’s following comments confirmed as much: “Shalit arranged an audition for Strictly Come Dancing. Reluctantly she declined.
“Tied to a Suits contract for nine months in the year, the timing clashed with filming in Britain. Disappointed, Shalit bid her farewell.”
Despite that being the case, Meghan has managed to cross over into the celebrity world since then. She has had major appearances on ‘Oprah Winfrey’ and ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show.’
While the former interview was very controversial, the latter managed to show Meghan in a different light, as she was involved in a prank with the assistance of Ellen.
