Tomohiro Ishii has already had two matches in B-Block, and has come up short twice. Tonight it’s do or die – and he’s facing Tama Tonga who is already on the board with a win over Chase Owens. With limited matches in the blocks due to the current format, Ishii has a max of 8 points now – and would need tiebreakers to make the finals. With his back against the wall, he might bite twice as hard – which could be bad news for Tama tonight.

Tomohiro Ishii Wants Tama Tonga To Stand And Fight

A lock up in the middle of the ring would be a stalemate, but Tama would grab a headlock after the release. Ishii would fight free with the forearms to the ribs, before testing the shoulder tackle of Tama – but getting caught with some quick arm drags. Ishii would run Tama down with a shoulder tackle, before some fast forearm smashes in the corner.

Tama would go for a dropkick, and Ishii side stepped – with Tama going splat onto his back. Ishii would look for the suplex, before Tama would counter. Stinger Splash in the corner would be followed by the spinning backdrop, with Ishii kicking out at one. A chop in the corner just had Ishii looking disappointed, before he’d brutalise Tama with elbows and chops.

Ishii was thrown across the ring, but he’d come back with a heavy shoulder tackle. Backdrop driver would land, but Tama would be able to kick out. Dropkick from Tama would land, before Ishii rushed back in and pounced Tama. Superplex would see Tama crash down to the mat, but would only result in a two count.

    Fighting To The Bitter End

Vertical Drop Brainbuster would be attempted, but Tama blocked into the Tongan Twist. Forearm smashes would follow, before Ishii was sent to the mat with a dropkick. Tama had that Gun Stun in mind at this point, but Ishii would be hit with the Death Valley Bomb instead.

Supreme Flow would land, but Ishii would easily kick out at two. Tama would signal for Gun Stun, but was blocked into a backdrop suplex. They’d trade strikes, with Ishii backing down after a vicious uppercut. Powerbomb would land however, getting Ishii a near fall.

Tama would get and dash towards Ishii, but was dropped with a lariat. Valano would land, but Ishii would kick out. Ishii would throw a headbutt, catching Tama right in the jaw. Both men would fight to their feet, before a brainbuster from Tama would land – but not enough to keep Ishii down.

J-Driller would be set, but Ishii easily countered. TKO would take Ishii down, but not enough to get the win – and Ishii shot back with one of his own. Vertical Drop Brainbuster was blocked with an enziguri, before another attempt at the J-Driller. It was blocked, as was the GunStun – before the Vertical Drop Brainbuster for the hard fought victory.
Can Ishii defy the odds to make the finals?

Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
