After reuniting with Jungle Boy, Luchasarus kept the mean streak put into him by Christian Cage. Tonight, he looks to show that against Anthony Henry of The Workorsemen. He’s a skilled wrestler, but can’t match the size of Luchasaurus.
Luchasaurus Attacks Security To Get Jungle Boy Closer To Christian Cage – Miro Accepts The Gifts Of House Of Black
Luchasaurus would rush Henry into the corner before a German Suplex. An enziguri briefly stunned Luchasaurus, before a headbutt and the Fossilizer. It was a quick victory, and Christian Cage would congratulate him on the screen. However, he’d be staying backstage – and Jungle Boy would rush from commentary to have a chance of getting his hands on him. Security would stop Jungle Boy, and Pat Buck tried to keep the peace – but all were dropped by Luchasaurus.
We’d hear from Miro, who tasted the black mist of Malakai Black – but will not be joining up with House of Black. He accepts their gifts, and will use them to destroy the faction. The Redeemer is about to become one of the most dangerous men in AEW once again. It was hard to see how he’d get more dangerous after his TNT Championship reign – but it seems he’s unhinged now.
FTR Stand With Wardlow Against Satnam Singh, Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt
Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt hit the ring – and would say they’re not done with Wardlow. Last Saturday, a message was sent – and Lethal demands another title shot. Either accept, or they take the TNT Championship from him. Wardlow doesn’t back down from a fight, and would hit the ring keen to drop all three men… and had backup in some old friends with FTR.
This trio was drowning in gold even beyond the days of The Pinnacle, and would hit to ring and cause Dutt, Singh & Lethal to flee the ring. Lethal tried to sneak in, but was easily dropped by Big Rig from FTR. Wardlow has some great friends to back him up now, and could well be future trios champions, if they can manage more gold.
Ricky Starks Makes Quick Work Of Former Tag Team Partner
No one in AEW knows Ricky Starks better than Aaron Solo. The member of QT Marshall’s Factory faction is someone who has really travelled the roads with Starks prior to both being signed in AEW. This is why an offer to join The Factory following the breakup of Team Taz was something Starks put an honest thought into – before declining. Now, these old friends will share the ring together one more time – as they meet at Quake By The Lake.
They’d clash in the middle of the ring, before Starks launched Solo with a back body drop. Starks would hit some chops to the chest of Solo, before Cole Karter of The Factory ran the distraction. Starks would weather the storm of strikes from Solo, before a tornado DDT and an attempt at Roshambo, before ending this one with a spear.
A dominant win from Starks, and after the bell – big Nick Comoroto would hit the ring with a steel chair and was dropped with a spinebuster. Numbers game of The Factory would win out, but Starks would had into the crowd and to safety.
Even A Legend Like Madison Rayne Can’t Stop Jade Cargill
When Jade Cargill laid out an open challenge for her TBS Championship tonight, I don’t think anyone expected five time former Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne to step up to the plate. However, after being signed to an AEW contract as a backstage coach, and having a staredown with Cargill – that’s the path we hve gone down. In her second match in an AEW ring, Rayne looks to add to her legacy by taking Cargill down here tonight – and end that impressive undefeated streak.
Rayne would be hit with a knee strike as the bell rang, before avoiding a charge from Cargill in the corner. A dropkick would follow, sending Cargill to the floor. The hurricanrana off the apron kept the pressure on, but a spear in the ring all but cut Rayne in half. Cargill remained in control with some cocky striking – perhaps getting overconfident in the ring.
The stalling vertical suplex would land, before Rayne hit the enziguri. The big DDT would land, but Cargill was able to kick out. Pump Kick would rock Rayne, before Jaded would be set up – and this one was over.
