When it comes to people who are honest in the professional wrestling industry, you don’t get better than Eddie Kingston. He’s a man who wears his heart on his sleeve, which has gotten him a major fanbase in AEW. Kingston is also not someone who stays quiet about hyping up his friends in the industry, even those who have been released from their AEW contracts.
Eddie Kingston Hopes People Regret Doubting The Skills Of Stu Grayson
Recently at a C*4 Wrestling show, fans would get a chance to see Stu Grayson work a match with Eddie Kingston, and as expected – it stole the show. Kingston would come out the victor, but would be sure to make sure everyone in that building knows just how good Grayson is. He’d be quoted saying the following after the match.
“Don’t thank me, thank this man right here. God damn, Stu, one day — everyone is going to regret doubting you one day. I hope it’s tonight…”
This could be viewed as a slight shot towards Tony Khan, who chose to not negotiate a new deal with the AEW original. Grayson would debut early alongside Evil Uno as the start of the Dark Order faction. Alongside Alan Angels, Grayson would leave the company – but still are keen to hype Dark Order, with it being as much of a family as it was a faction.
Grayson was often considered to be one of the most underrated workers on the roster, rarely getting a chance to properly show off his skills. It’s hoped that he will find his way back to AEW at some point, if not getting a chance to show his skills in WWE – with Triple H potentially still seeing value in tenured indy veterans like Grayson.
Meanwhile, Eddie Kingston remains a steady name on the AEW roster, most recently feuding with Chris Jericho. Being called out in a promo by CM Punk could set up a future rematch between them, provided Punk is not on his way out of the company.
