Right now, Impact Wrestling are taping their next few months of TV content, hopefully setting up the path to Bound For Glory fully. With fans in the arena, information was bound to leak out – and we have the scoop on a major debut for the promotion, with a former ROH World TV & Six Man Tag Champion making his Impact Wrestling debut.
Shane Taylor Makes Impact Wrestling Debut, Has Not Been In Ring Of Honor Since Tony Khan Takeover
This is none other than the leader of Shane Taylor Enterprises, Shane Taylor. Having not shown up on ROH programming since 2021, and having not been brought on as part of future plans by new owner Tony Khan – Taylor has been looking for his next big spot in professional wrestling.
It seems Impact Wrestling has finally given him a new home, with Taylor defeating Crazy Steve during their latest tapings. Taylor is one of the better brawlers in modern wrestling, with his insane matches against Dragon Lee & Kenny King ind Ring of Honor standing out. He’s also a former tag team partner of Keith Lee, having previously been known as The Pretty Boy Killers.
Will He Join Honor No More?
Taylor joining Impact Wrestling opens up an interesting storyline option, that being if he will join up with Honor No More. The faction of ex-ROH talent run by Eddie Edwards has been ruling Impact Wrestling lately, with The OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) claiming the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships during these tapings, and Edwards challenging Josh Alexander for the Impact Wrestling World Championship at Bound For Glory.
There’s a good chance that if he joins up, we see this occur during that match for the Impact Wrestling World Championship, with Taylor helping Edwards claim the gold. This could also come with in-fighting in the faction, between the bitter rivals that are Kenny King & Shane Taylor.
Impact Wrestling just got a great wrestler with built in storylines on their roster, and Taylor has a chance to prove his post-ROH doubters wrong. Do you think this is a good get for Impact? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
