Right now, NXT 2.0 is in a good spot. We’re seeing the focal stars of the brand truly come into their own, and Triple H becoming the head of WWE creative will make call-ups less disastrous. Add in the steady stream of TV ready talent from NXT UK – with the likes of GUNTHER, JD McDonagh, Nathan Frazer and Axiom already successfully coming over from NXT UK. More names are also now on the way – with stints planned for four more wrestlers.
Gallus & Charlie Dempsey To Have Stints In NXT 2.0
PWInsider reported that Gallus & Charlie Dempsey are currently planned to have stints in NXT 2.0 very soon. Gallus is a long standing faction in NXT UK, consisting of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang. Joe Coffey has main evented two NXT UK Takeover events – and Wolfgang recently challenged Ilja Dragunov for the NXT UK Championship. They’re a dominant group, and will bring a bit of grit back to the NXT brand.
Meanwhile, Charlie Dempsey is a member of the Die Familie faction, alongside Teoman & Rohan Raja. While his faction won’t be coming over with him, Dempsey being given a chance to stand on his own is a vital test for his career. He’s the son of former NXT general manager William Regal, and despite only having four years of in-ring experience, is already one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE.
Fans have already compared Dempsey to former WWE star Cesaro – and could even surpass the accomplishments of both his father and Cesaro. Excellent matches with A-Kid (now Axiom) in NXT UK could be run back in NXT 2.0, giving fans a great chance to see just what makes him special. Under the leadership of Vince McMahon, fans were unsure of the potential of Dempsey long term, but with Triple H in charge? He’s a potential WWE Champion – if he can stand alone.
It’s unclear if these wrestlers will be coming to NXT 2.0 full time, or if it’s just a temporary stint – but better exposure can only help them in WWE. Do you think Gallus & Dempsey are good fits for NXT 2.0? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
