Before The Impact (BTI) – Steve Macklin vs. Crazzy Steve
Steve started it off fast with a series of dropkicks, and kept the pressure on with his speed and tenaciousness.
Macklin overpowered Steve and hit a Caught in the Crosshairs and a KIA for the win.
Karl Anderson vs. Kenny King
This was an evenly fought match with Karl taking the early lead before King went to work on his left knee.
King took it to him, but Karl remained alive long enough to hit a Gun Stun for the win.
After the match, King took a steel chair to Karl’s injured knee, but Heath ran in to hit a Wake Up Call before he could do too much damage, through with Gallows rumored to be injured this will make Honor No More vs. the Bullet Club at Emergence interesting.
Deaner w/Joe Doering vs. Kushida w/Chris Sabin
Kushida started off hot as he focused on Deaner’s legs with kicks, but Deaner never stopped coming.
Sabin took care of Doering on the floor with a moonsault when he tried to get involved, and Kushida hit a suplex with a bridge for the win.
Killer Kelly vs. Tiffany Nieves
Nieves slapped Kelly to start, and that was the last time she had an edge as Kelly took it to her and locked in her Killer Clutch for the quick submission win.
Mia Yim vs. Madison Rayne
They traded holds through the early part of the match as they looked for an advantage. Rayne gained the upper hand after leading Yim on a chase in and out of the ring.
Yim rallied and slipped out of Rayne’s finisher to hit a Eat Defeat for the win.
X-Division Championship – Mike Bailey (c) vs. Rocky Romero
This was an equal matchup as they went move for move throughout most of the match before Romero ducked and Bailey kicked the ring post.
Bailey kept coming back as they fought down the wire until Bailey hit the Ultimate Weapon for the win. He’ll defend the X-Division Championship against Jack Evans at Emergence.
World Championship Contract Signing
Scott D’Amore praised Josh Alexander and Alex Shelley for being two of the best wrestlers he’s ever coached before he introduced them for the signing.
Josh first praised Shelley and said the first time he ever bought a ticket to watch wrestling was in 2005 and Shelley was on the card and Shelley not being afraid to be different inspired him to step into the ring the very next day.
Shelley returned the compliments and said they’re careers have paralleled in many ways, and he returned the favor of Josh saying he’d beat him by saying the MCMG won more tag titles.
He asked Josh what makes him different than the Alex Shelley clones he mentioned, and Josh admitted he’s more of a Chris Sabin guy; someone that’s won the big one before.
Josh asked him why he never won the big one, and the only thing he can think of is Shelley self sabotaged himself and he thinks Shelley’s scared.
He said he wants the better than the best of Alex Shelley, and Shelley pointed out he’s never had a title shot in Impact.
After saying how Sabin suffered 3 ACL injuries and will have his knees replaced by the time he’s 60 as the price he paid, then listed Josh’s injuries.
He promised when Josh steps in the ring, Josh will be taken back to 2005 while Shelley will only see a Alex Shelley mark and he then signed the contract and gave it to Josh as an Alex Shelley autograph.
This was a gun show and a great back and forth with a little of everything thrown in to close the show out. What did you think about it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining Impact Wrestling Results.
We had a blast and can’t wait to see you all for Emergence.
See you then!
